Do you have any pics of the daiwa you can post? I'm not impressed. Standard transverse cam system, without extra bearing or bar support. I can get more quality on the cheaper Piscifun Carbon Series. 41 minutes ago, MAN said: I'm not going to try to prove you right or wrong, but nothing in the pictures speak to the true components that make a good/better spinning reel. Thats where you really would need to do the comparison at. It does however help to show that exterior cosmetics mean a lot to the consumer. Thank god I'm not the only one surprised about that. Quote
basshunter0912 Posted April 25, 2023 Posted April 25, 2023 Bought three different president spinning reels years back and all had line lay issues. I use Shimano spinning reels 1 Quote

Then there's a video where tackle advisors does a teardown of the reel. I don't know much about Pflugers or bash them. I would like to try one of the cheaper Pflugers that people like. I have 2 Pfleuger Trions. They're awesome reels for the price. 1 Quote
throttleplate Posted April 26, 2023 Author Posted April 26, 2023 Here is a video of a complete teardown of the diawa if anyone interested in watching. https://www.google.com/search?q=FGLT3000c-d+fuego+spinning+reel+tear+down&client=firefox-b-1-d&filter=0&biw=1084&bih=535&dpr=1.09#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:1c5d8223,vid:AmPgjzBygys Quote

The LT does stand for light and tough they say. I may be wrong about the daiwa, the only way for me to be convinced its a better performing reel for its higher price is to buy one and give it to my wife to use for 3 years and see if she can break it. Nope, Fuego LT has been at the top since 17. If I wanted an AL frame reel I would have bought 1 in the BG... which happens to be the same price. Ive gotten 4.5 years out of a reel that I didnt think would last a full season. Quote
