Is there a way to tell how old a loomis rod is by the serial number?

As per their website.  
 

Product Information varies from rod to rod. Only rods since 2019 will have serial numbers. Older rods will have model numbers. Use the instructions below to find the identifying details of your rod.”

I would have never thought about asking them ?


That’s sarcasm. Obviously I know that but it took them 72 hours to respond last time. So i asked here in case someone knew if there was a trick to the serial numbers (like on some rifles where certain letters sequences meant certain years). 

 

I did see that Mice. At least I know it’s a 2019 or newer model.

If you have an account with Loomis, try to register the rod under the serial number and see if it gives you an auto filled response for the for rods specific model.  If you have to complete the registration, you can delete rod afterwards.

If I remember right the serial numbers were more for the warranty side. Also to stop people from selling it at full price when they bought it at half. I know bps rods had that system with their rods though on knowing when it was made.

it is after year 2022, Because before that they dont have Serial number printed on them.
