David E. Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 Any idea where I can get the numbered brake indicator ring for a new President baitcaster? Mine flew off into the lake. Pure Fishing told me my model was old and they don’t make parts. That’s not true. It’s the same model that they sell on their website. Now they ignore my emails. Any place else?? Thanks Quote

Super User FishTank Posted April 22, 2023 Super User Posted April 22, 2023 I think you may be SOL. I believe that piece is actually contained in the frame, like the button symbol on a Lew's reel. You would have to buy the side frame as a whole part. I would suggest looking for a used reel on ebay. It might be cheaper. Quote
Mbirdsley Posted April 22, 2023 Posted April 22, 2023 E-replacement parts like MN fished stated seems to handle all of the doyo made parts in the states. Quote
David E. Posted April 23, 2023 Author Posted April 23, 2023 I didn’t mention it was the first time I used it. Quote
Super User Solution MN Fisher Posted April 23, 2023 Super User Solution Posted April 23, 2023 Okay - a little investigating and I found out something. The Brake Indicator Ring is not sold as a separate part by anyone - it's integral to the side plate. You'd need to order a whole new side plate to get that back. Or dial all the way clockwise - Sharpie to mark "0" All the way counterclockwise - Sharpie to mark "10" 1 Quote
Tatulatard Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 Those are always analog dials to me. I go less or more. I don't pay attention to the number. Chances are a new one will just fall off again. 1 Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 I see lots of reels where even the max and min designation is impossible to see. If you can’t remember which way is which mark it. Quote
Super User WRB Posted April 23, 2023 Super User Posted April 23, 2023 Take reel and receipt back where you purchased the reel and exchange it. Tom Quote
David E. Posted April 24, 2023 Author Posted April 24, 2023 This should be a warranty claim. Pure Fishing said my part wasn’t covered. I read the warranty. That’s not true. I’m done with them. Terrible customer service. I know it doesn’t affect the performance, it just looks crappy Quote
