So the monkey is itching for a new spinning reel(he doesn't need one), he has an Excsence C3000MHG, it's his favorite,  he loves it for neko and ned rigs. He is debating between the new Vanquish C3000XG or saving a couple of bucks and getting a Twin Power C3000XG. Reel will be used for senkos, neko, neds,in line spinners,  3.3 swimbaits,  lures would wiegh 1/2oz max. Shimano just came out with the Exsence XR, I would be open to it but  I am not sure if its a Vanford in disguise. Which one should he get?

Certate. ?

I like Daiwa casting reels, I just don't seem to be into their spinning stuff, when it comes  to spinning I'm a Shimano fanboy.

The monkey has been constantly checking digitaka to see if they are in stock.

I doubt if any reel is a better deal than the Daiwa Tatula LT.  Still has an anti reverse switch, too.

Essence XR is the new Essence ci4+.  Same internals as the magnesium framed version,  minus 2 BB's (9+1 vs 11+1).  I have the 2018 ci4+ c3000mhg and am a fan.  The new XR is only 5g heavier than the magnesium Essence (185g vs 180g).  My '18 model is 195g.  I'll be getting an XR or two eventually.

The new Essence XR looks promising but my vote is for the new Vanquish.

They are suppose to be released in June. I'll definitely pick up one or two.

Yep, I'm going to wait on the Vanquish. Thanks.

I have the Vanquish in both 2500 and 3000 size.  I much prefer the feel of the 2500 size for worm fishing.

I have the 2019 3000 size Vanquish and love it. It has been the best spinning reel I have ever used. I also have the new version in a C2500S on the way. Can't wait. It will be for ned rigs and whatever light stuff I want to throw on it. I also have some sinking  braid from YGK I'm going to use. This will be my first time using sinking braid. Should be a fun learning experience.
