A couple years ago I got a decent or of jigs from @Siebert Outdoors with the living rubber skirt. I filled the bathtub up and dumped them in there and said, “hey 6poundbass check this out.” He was entertained for a bit.

Gotta make the wife laugh.

Something I don't care for is FB and the wife is always putting my fish pics up or our fishing trips.

She's very active in the community and I'm an out of sight out of mind kinda guy....... guess there's a balance. Lol

I’m exactly like you.

Somehow , I’m back on facebook ( not sure how) . Now I’m getting all these friend requests that I will mostly ignore unless it’s family or close friends

My wife will listen to my latest fishing stories nicely but that’s about it…

All my tackle resides in the spare bedroom.  When I'm in there messing around and the door opens, I hear "Are you playing with your lures?".  Yep!

My daughter is in a residential high school for the arts, focusing on writing. She wrote a short story about our relationship and mentioned how I would walk out on the deck and rig up my combos and chat. She mentioned my Whopper Plopper.

I am blessed to have a significant other that understands. She can tell when I am "under fished".  She also puts up with my worm sorting.  I consider myself very lucky.

I took my wife to Cabelas once. I was looking for a backpack for bank fishing.  A guy working there asked her if she needed help.  She responded by saying,  "Yes. My husband is looking for a worm purse."  Last time I took her willingly.

Around my house my tackle bags are all called worm purses. I will never live it down.  Wives,  what are you going to do?

That is the funniest thing I’ve read for a while! Did the Cabelas guy laugh?

Not tackle related, but my wife cracks herself up every time I go out fishing. she says "Good luck, be safe and have fun RIPPIN LIPS" and then has a good laugh.

I dont use the phrase but my brother in law did one time we went out and she about died laughing. Its cute and makes the trip more enjoyable.
