Born 2 fish Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 If so how was it would you have another one or would you prefer a solid gel color? Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted April 20, 2023 Super User Posted April 20, 2023 I don't recall ever seeing one that doesn't have a plain gel coat bottom unless you're talking about below the top cap. Quote

No I’m referring to the bottom of the boat I seen one in person and it looked very good. So I ordered it on my Phoenix. My old Lund impact had a vapor mist paint it was a gunmetal with flake, but that was paint over aluminum. I was just looking for input from bass boat owners. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted April 20, 2023 Super User Posted April 20, 2023 I don’t have it and have never seen it. Mine is just plain old red. 1 Quote

Looking at the pictures of that one it does look pretty cool for sure. I've had powder blue gel, grey, and my latest is black with a waterline stripe. Aside from ascetics, I don't think it would be much different, other than maybe being harder to repair if it's ever scraped up so a keel protector would be a good investment. Quote
Born 2 fish Posted April 20, 2023 Author Posted April 20, 2023 Most definitely will have a keel shield before I leave the dealership. The body shop I talked to actually said it’s easier to repair then solid color gel as it would be easier to blend. I don’t know if that’s true but if it’s damaged to the point of fixing it insurance will pay for it anyways heres a close up of the one I looked at. 1 Quote
Super User WRB Posted April 22, 2023 Super User Posted April 22, 2023 I had a Skeeter with Silver metal flake bottom similar to the Phoenix. At the time there was an option to add Shad school print to the bottom surface. Tom Quote
