fin Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 I’m just going to throw this out there. They seem like a strange company. They have been around forever. They have a weird distribution system. If they have a central website, I can’t find it. They make some pretty nice stuff, but also make cheap stuff for walmart. They seem to make a lot of different products, but some are only sold in combination with other baits. For example, someone gave me the 128-piece worm kit, and it has just a few worms that I really like, but the only way to get anymore would be to buy another kit. Maybe they have more stuff for sale somewhere else? It seems like they would have high manufacturing costs due to the wide variety of products, and small return based on limited distribution. Maybe they’re just waiting to be gobbled up like all the old lure companies? Am I missing something? Anybody know more about them? 2 Quote
Super User Bird Posted April 17, 2023 Super User Posted April 17, 2023 Their baits are affordable and effective but don't know much about the company. The Clunn series Jerkbaits work well for a fraction of the price. They don't have the wobble of a 110 or Spro but I've had good success with them. Have you checked Amazon for specific baits ? 1 Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted April 17, 2023 Super User Posted April 17, 2023 A google search brought up what seems to be their website, although it’s poorly designed and unnavigable. I’ve used their STX jerkbaits before and really liked them. Seems to be a smaller company. 1 Quote
Super User Mobasser Posted April 17, 2023 Super User Posted April 17, 2023 A few years ago, a Wal Mart near me had the Lucky Strike 4" and 6" curly tail worms on clearance for .25 per pack. I bought 20 bags. I kept some, gave some to a friend and my grandson. They were stiff, but we boiled them and laid them out on a paper towel. They worked good. The 6" tequila sunrise color was a favourite. 2 Quote
Super User Spankey Posted April 17, 2023 Super User Posted April 17, 2023 Mo I wish I could have made out as well as you. 4” and 6” black ct’s and 4” and 6” pumpkinseed CT’s were a killer. I’ll put them up there with some of my favorite baits. I think Lucky-E-Strike took a nose dive as of recently. 2 Quote
Mbirdsley Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 Arnt lucky e strike made by lucky craft ? I was always under the impressions those were baits that didn’t make the cut Q/A wise for lucky strike during the mfg process. Rather than throw away. they sold them as lucky E strikes . I could be wrong. 1 Quote

They worked good. The worms I got were not soft, but I wouldn't call them stiff. They're a lot more durable than most worms because of that, so that's not all bad. I like some of the colors - they have one that looks just like a live worm in the water. 11 hours ago, Bird said: The Clunn series Jerkbaits work well for a fraction of the price. No complaints. 11 hours ago, Bird said: Have you checked Amazon for specific baits ? They have some stuff, not much. I'm not like desperately trying to find anything, I was just wondering if I'm missing something obvious, it seems like they would sell all their stuff somewhere. I see they have a facebook page, but I don't do facebook. Quote

Looks like nothing has been updated for the past 6 years and there's nothing really there. Funny that didn't turn up in my search results, I tried Google, DDG and Bing. 1 Quote

It’s good to see someone buy a company because they appreciate it’s heritage. I hope it’s successfully and leads to more similar acquisitions. I’ll be supporting them. Quote

Tatulatard Posted May 25, 2023 Posted May 25, 2023 I liked their wacky weedless jigheads. They hold up well to being skipped around docks and boat lifts and when the weed guard eventually falls out you got your monies worth since they are cheap. Never had a hook point roll on me or a hook break either. Shame they appear to be gone now. Quote
Super User WRB Posted May 25, 2023 Super User Posted May 25, 2023 Lucky Strike is available from TW. Tom Quote
Kirtley Howe Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 I believe that Lucky Strike lures, and Luck-E-Strike lures are 2 different companies. Quote

Aaron_H Posted May 27, 2023 Posted May 27, 2023 Luck-E-Strike 4" ringworm was the first artificial I ever caught a bass on. Owe a certain amount of my passion and success to them, hope to see the company thrive. Quote
