In 2019, the dairy industry successfully lobbied regulators to have "milk" solely defined as a term that is produced from an animal. People who are lactose-intolerant often turn to non-dairy based products such as almond, coconut, or soy based products instead. “An almond doesn't lactate,” according to FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb, so almonds cannot be milked." Hahah! My wife‘s family runs a dairy farm and she drinks almond “milk” and oat “milk”. Needless to say her dad gives her all kinds of grief about it, and it’s hilarious. He calls it oat water 1 Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted April 17, 2023 BassResource.com Administrator Posted April 17, 2023 Peet’s Major Dickason’s is one of the better mass-produced coffee. Robust enough for me to drink it on occasion. But I prefer Boca Java Light Up Olas and South Beach Rythm coffee. Those are stronger and more flavourful than Major Dickasons, and roasted when ordered. 1 cup puts my BP over 160. LOL! 2 Quote

padlin Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 I was doing pour over local roasted Sumatra till prices about doubled. Tried a few replacements and ended up with Major Dickinson’s, not that I tried a lot of different ones. Been happy with it for a couple years now. Takes about half as much of the Peet’s as it did of the Sumatra, which is a good thing. Quote
