My buddy and I were discussing a lure manufacturer that just disappeared.  It was a soft plastics company out of Florence Oregon that made best tubes ever and a couple of hot colors that we haven’t been able to replicate.  The guy passed away I guess.  I have to believe there’s many many lure makers out there that are the go toes in their local region but we’ve never heard of them.  Anyone want to share?

I just found this company at the grand  rapids fishing show this last March.  They are called xtremebasstackle.com.  They specialize in making small mouth tubes for lake st.Clair and the state of Michigan/Great Lakes region.  They are based in the metro Detroit area ( lake st.Claire).

I bought 2 packs of tubes.  1 4 inch tubes in blue illusion and 1 pack of  goby. I have not yet made it to big crystal or one of the Great Lakes yet this year to fish so I havnt fished them yet.  However, they look and feel like great quality tubes

looks like they have been around since the 90’s

Mar Lynn bait company in Blue Springs Mo. It's a suburb of Kansas City. They made some good stuff years ago. Worms, jigs etc. They marketed the Puddle Jumper, which was a good finesse bass lure in the 3" size                   There are several companies in the Mo Ozark area also. Sometimes I wish they still made these things.

X2.

I've been using Bitter's Bait and Tackle plastics for years. The 7 1/2" worm in Candybug Gold is deadly on a couple of the Mississippi River oxbow lakes if fish.

I also use the Salty Hog and the 10" worm. Great products in my opinion.

I’ve had a lot of luck with Big Joshys baits out of Ohio. I really like their Goby on a dropshot and their paddletail crawfish as a jig trailer. The crawfish have pinchers and a paddle tail in the middle and look great hopping and swimming -

We've got a business started a few years back by a local boy named Berkley Bedell.  It still makes a few baits locally...
