I use my Antares DCs on everything:

842 Conquest with Antares DC21 With 12lb Tatsu

903 Conquest with Antares DC21 With 12lb Tatsu

844 Conquest with Antares DC16 With 40lb braid with 16lb leader

905 Conquest with Antares DC MD 50lb braid backing with 20lb InvizX

As you can see even my jerkbait rod(842C) is Antares DC and it can cast it like champ. So you see what you use the most and try to get that rod, My first rod was Conquest 844C and it was my all around rod, So I suggest you do the same.

Orion black rose for me, seems like a good weight/power match up.  But in reality, what’s your favorite baits to throw?  That should be where your most expensive rig goes.

Figure out EXACTLY what you want to do with your setup and contact a reputable Rod Builder and have something built. Brian.
