Super User Swamp Girl Posted April 10, 2023 Super User Posted April 10, 2023 There is a lure I saw at one of the fishing sites. I watched a YouTube video or two about it too. It's a surface lure that has what looks like a chatterbait clacker hanging off its rear. I can't remember its name. Ring a bell? Quote
Jmurphy87 Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 I don’t know if it’s the one but z man hellraizer is the one that comes to mind. 3 Quote

Super User Swamp Girl Posted April 10, 2023 Author Super User Posted April 10, 2023 Maybe I'm just muddled, but I was thinking of a lure with a fatter body. Quote
NavyToad Posted April 10, 2023 Posted April 10, 2023 The hellraiser has a chatterbait blade and clacker on the back. I haven’t thrown it enough to say whether it’s any good. It’s a cool idea either way. Quote

Tatulatard Posted April 11, 2023 Posted April 11, 2023 It's a type of Japanese bait. There are many of them. The most well known in the US is the megabass gong or jackall bunny. I like the imakatsu waddle buggy because it hunts sub surface 1 Quote

It has a blade attached to the hook hangar to cause instability and hunt. The wake baits with the big blade off the back use the blade to make noise as the blade clanks on the body and sometomes metal nub on the body. The waddle buggy combines both. 1 Quote
Super User NorthernBasser Posted April 12, 2023 Super User Posted April 12, 2023 Shot in the dark since it doesn't really match the 'chatterbait blade' description... And then there's this combo chatterbait/topwater. (love these) 1 Quote
Super User Swamp Girl Posted April 12, 2023 Author Super User Posted April 12, 2023 Thanks for all the replies, guys. However, my wallet doesn't thank you. 1 Quote

I mostly fish it on the surface with the rod tip held high. Every now and then let it dip subsurface then back to the surface. Gotten some mean strikes on it. Pike love it, too. Oh, and one walleye who apparently identifies as a bass. ? 1 1 Quote
