Guys these Underspin was very productive for me and I only left one in my tackle box , I was thinking to get some willow and Colorado 1/2oz or 3/8(8/0 hook) but it is very expensive. Do you guys have some cheaper in mind with the same 8/0 hooks and same weight? it is really good size hook for 4.8" keitech fat impact.

Here is the link for expensive owner:

You're using an 8/0 for a sub 5" paddletail? I use 5/0 for all 5". Brian.

5/0 or 6/0 for 5" paddletails - for a 4.8" a 5/0Swimbaithooksizes.jpg.f6fdf59ece3690cb93f6ec44efb296c5.jpg

You got me there, But since I am not a master caster, I loos lots of tackle in the trees Haha... I am just trying to save some money. In all my fishing years I learned that casting in impossible places will get you more fish.

Then Practice casting. Everyone looses tackle now and then, it's just part of the game.

When you start loosing 35.00 baits is when it really hurts...lol

Is an intervention needed? Can never lose too many flashy swimmers! While being stuck in a tree, I've placed $50 TW orders just to re-up. When the box arrives, I quickly open and hide the new stuff. I keep one bait in the box. "What's in the box?" said Wifey. "Just another bait that was on backorder from Black Friday."

The standard Flashy Swimmer in 3/8 oz 6/0 is plenty for the 4.8. I have great success with these standard sizes and they're $3 a piece.

That was my thought.  These go on sale often too.  Gamakatsu also has a version if you prefer them.  They are priced way below the beast hooks that you don’t need for that size bait.

I'm with ya! Replace with owner cps as well. If they came stock with a centering pin screw lock, I think Trokar would sell more.

Buy in bulk when they're on sale. When the Owner's were on sale for $3 a pack, I bought all the 1/0, 3/0, and 5/0 I could. They don't spoil and don't eat much so I'm set for a good while. Brian.

Yep. As you can see, I did. I have a pile of mediums and larges for Gammys and whichever other hooks come with a shyte spring lock keeper. Even the ones with the faux centering pin are lame compared to Owner's CPS.

There's a 6/0 non-beast flashy swimmer. As mentioned before, the 5/0 hooks work really well on 4.8 Fat Impacts though. Replacing the CPS spring is definitely worth the effort, been running in the 20 fish per bait range. Eventually have to replace because the hook hole gets worn out.
