BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted April 5, 2023 BassResource.com Administrator Posted April 5, 2023 Yes, tube baits work for largemouth too! Here's some cool tricks from Classic contender Pat Schlapper 7 Quote
river-rat Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 I've been using a flipping tube since they came out in the late 90's after Denny Brauer won the Classic with one. For the past couple of years a flipping tube has produced better, for me, than a jig-n-craw. I have the utmost confidence in this presentation. In fact, just this morning I went out and a flipping tube outproduced every thing else. It's gotten to the point that I have started keeping two rods with flipping tubes rigged with different weights. I have also found it to be very productive when punching through matted vegetation. 4 Quote
Super User T-Billy Posted April 5, 2023 Super User Posted April 5, 2023 One of my local lakes has steep chunk rock banks in the lower half. Crack'n a stupid tube on the ledges can be lights out in the spring. It's all LM in that lake. 3 Quote
Mbirdsley Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 I’m not afraid to power fish a tube on 1/4 oz to 1/2 oz t-rig. Works well in bigger rivers with current. I’ll catch large mouth and small mouth this way on the titabawassee and Saginaw rivers. 1 Quote
