I’m not sure if anybody’s ever done it or if it’s going to work who knows I may end up just tearing them right back off, but I have added float pods to my ranger cross my fingers and hope that it works lol 9197D463-BCA2-46DC-B1DD-6ACF3F5BFE08.thumb.jpeg.d67f71cc182fddd02cec0f215d680cf0.jpeg

I have only seen them on jet motors to help with raising the transom up more quickly and balance the floatation, never saw them on a glass boat before.

Are you adding them to keep the stern up with all the added weight from the add-ons these days or are you adding them to help getting on plane?

I'm pretty sure Sea Ark boats have them.   My boat's too light in the back.  If I added some they would need to be filled with sand.

Generally, people only add them to poorly balanced jet boats. Jets don’t have the bite like a prop does to plane out so balance is key. They also help with the boats rear squatting while fishing. It should let you draft a little lighter. You may also lose some Mph with the added drag.

Been thinking about that with mine, please let us know how it works.

What size are those.

Do too the shape of the stern and location of the tie down strap’s I could only make them 14x10x8 so length times width times height equals 1120×2, since there’s two of them equals 2240÷231 in.² per gallon equals 9.690×8.3 pounds per gallon equals 80.87 pounds of flotation basically eliminating two batteries. or in my case since the new motor I put on is 100 pounds heavier than the factory. I’m just about back to normal. once the ice is gone, I’ll post some before and after photo and TopSpeed.
