I’m done with Braid on bc reels (except heavy vegetation Punching). What line for spooks, buzzbait, toads? Armilo defier? 20lb?

Why 20 lb test ? I would use something in the 15 lb range, unless your fishing over heavy vegetation.

I use 17# Sufix Siege since they'll take it down into the milfoil.

It was just a question.

Personally, I'm a fan of 15lb berkley big game. I've run that for years now and love it. Spook and buzz baits 100% 15lb night game. I don't fish toads that often at all though.

What’s the least stretchy mono? I know big game is strong but it’s super stretchy to me.

I use 16lb mono Sunline supernatural for spooks seems to work well ??‍♂️

I use 50lb braid for Buzzbaits I throw Buzzbaits on my frog setup which also does my Flippin n pitching and it is my only braid setup ??‍♂️

Buzzbaits get 15lb Big Game, trebled topwaters get 10lb XL.

I use the 15lb. Armilo . Good stuff and also good line for spinnerbaits and any moving bait that's not diving.

I've been using Sufix Advance 8# the past few years and absolutely love it! Low stretch, very strong, excellant abrasion resistance, and great casting. Been using with a JDM Scorpion 70 and couldn't be happier.

For TopWater Armilo 15 lb. gets the nod and that is not to say your conditions may require a heavier line. Really impressed with how this line lays down on the spool as well as coming off the spool. Defier 17lb. gets the nod for CrankBait and again it has the same characteristics as Armilo coming off and laying down on the spool. Line weight really boils down to what we have confidence in using while fishing the conditions we fish.

What’s the difference in the armilo and regular defier pictured above?

Best comes down to which line on which rod. I don't like Big Game on a moderate, but I like it just fine on a fast. Since I like faster rods in general, this works out for me. With drag tweaked for the whichever hooks are in the mix at the moment, I don't lose fish that often either.

Once again I will try a Fluoro leader, but only for trout.

Smallies hitting topwater seem like a reaction bite. So violent

This for any treble hook lures.

Armillo is more abrasion resistant but coils up and does not cast as smoothly.

ive used this line for everything it doesnt have much stretch has great knot strngth good abrasion has no memory and most importantly it has awesome sensitivity. i can feel any bite with this line using a carolina rig.
