20%  of the Classic field were from the North or Canada, 4 from CAN, 3 from MN, and 3 from WI, 1 from MI.

Learned that stat today, and it's an important one in my book.   Illustrates that guys are just as hardcore, and capable of Bass angler as any other region in the country including down here in the SE where it really all started.

You guys seem to make the most of it up there, I guess that's what I'm saying.

You're outnumbered here currently amigo, put the Winter down, and slowly back away ?

I'd love to but it keeps coming back. Its like a d@#$ Ouija board.

Thanks for asking.

So the Pro-V Bass is still the same as it ever was - coming on season 7.

I will say that if my Fortrex totally dies, I'd try to go the Ultrex route.

The electronics and bells and whistles can certainly be a distraction.

I remember those pics! I never do much damage in spring time, I’m already counting down days until December

Fish big swimbaits and you will...no reason in TN you shouldn't be hitting double digits or close this time of the year!

I throw them quite a bit, it’s rare anyone gets anything over 7 on my waters . Bassmaster classic lunker was under 6

That's wild to me - each year I get several over 6 up here in Pa and many over the 5 mark. There are waters that don't have those sizes but I mostly stay away from them.

It’s pretty smallmouth dominant in Knoxville, there are bigger largemouth downstream a few hours (guntersville, etc) but I can’t drive that far just to fish after work

Catching a 6-7lb LGM out of a river, especially his area is a pretty epic feat.

He fishes the same water the Classic was held at recently, loaded with fish, but not exactly a big Bass factory at least for LGMs.

The only place I would know to get a big LM is in somebody’s cow pond

and sometimes Douglas but that’s a bit of a haul for me, not too bad

Variety is the spice of life, not to mention you can catch a trophy brown fish at any time in your waters.

If only I had some access to a cow pond!

Yeah, many small bodies of water in the North East and mid Atlantic are good places for 5+ lb fish this time of year.

I guess it depends on how we determine "big", but if somebody ran into a DD largemouth in the vicinity of Ft Loudoun, everybody in this area code would have heard about it.

I got into a low 3-ish pound largemouth one day when I was out with @TnRiver46, and he and I both about had a come apart over it. ?
