Happybeerbuzz Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Lures go in phases for me. There is always the lure/technique I want to emphasize for the year, but other than that it changes. I went about 2 years without dragging plastic, but last year, it was 70% of what I threw that wasn’t topwater. I am about to go out for the first time this year. I only have moving baits tied on. Social media is a powerful thing that gives everyone a voice, but I stay off of it except for this forum. If I went down that rabbit hole, it would consume too much of my time. It’s a shame really that I am so selfish. The world would really benefit from my influence. Quote
Super User TOXIC Posted April 2, 2023 Super User Posted April 2, 2023 I don’t get it. I’m going to throw whatever gets me the most bites in the most conditions/situations first. That doesn’t mean I won’t switch it up if it’s not getting bit. Without a doubt, the Senko catches more fish in more situations than a lot of other baits. That’s why it’s normally my go-to bait right out of the gate. I’m not going to force myself to throw something else because of all the silly reasons fishermen use to not throw it.? 3 Quote

Can I join your guys’ party? ? It’s been 20 years since I last threw a Senko ? 2 Quote
Super User Alpster Posted April 4, 2023 Super User Posted April 4, 2023 Anymore I keep a wacky rigged senko knock off on an extra rod for a follow up throw after a missed hit, but I never post it on FB. ? Quote

Pat Brown Posted April 4, 2023 Posted April 4, 2023 I caught a six and a half pounder and a 7-pounder both in the same day on a weightless green pumpkin senko back when I had never caught a big fish and I caught my first large mouth bass ever on a black and blue Texas rigged Senko.... and back when my son was very reluctant to fish with me, he caught his first big bass and his first bass on a senko and I'd argue that bait made him commit to bass fishing like he has at such a young age by building his confidence. It has caught me big fish at bodies of water I've never been to when nothing else gets bit. It has a safe spot in my tackle box! 1 Quote
