I currently have two casting equipment for bass. Dobyns Sierra 703C rod with a Daiwa Tatula 100 HSL reel. My new equipment is a Dobyns Sierra 734C rod to which I have currently put a Shimano Citica C-201 (old model). What a reel Would you choose for that rod so that it is compensated and balanced and above all that it is a pitcher... in a range of 150 to 200 dollars. Thank you

Your post is formatted in a way that makes it . . . . unpleasant. . . . to read, so I have quoted it so others can see it more easily. Pitching isn't really in my wheelhouse, so I will leave that to those that know more about it. Good luck with your dilemma.

The truth is that I'm happy with the tatula 100....but if I could find something a little more launcher...it would be welcome. I don't know if, for example, a tatula sv would gain something more in distance, so ask colleagues from this great forum, who have a lot of experience.

Why not the Shimano SLX DC ?

That option seems interesting. Any other option that complements dobyns 734c from your point of view and has a good launch?

You seem to be asking about two things.  1.) A reel best for pitching. 2.) A reel able to launch a lure into orbit.  The SV wouldn't be my first choice for bombing, but...should I ever start pitching...it would definitely be one of my top choices from the reading I've done.

Pitching is a skill.  Can be done with any reel, but obviously some reels are going to be easier to control than others.  Practice is paramount.  Your first post said pitching was a priority.  If that is truly the case, I'd have to lean towards the SV based on the reading I've done.

Recently moved to Florida.  Hoping to learn a few more casting techniques as I also retired.  However, I've only managed to get out twice for short periods so far.  ?

Parece que estás preguntando por dos cosas. 1.) Un carrete mejor para lanzar. 2.)

Hi mate, thanks for your answers. affirmative ... my priority for this rod is the launch. According to your comments there are two options: the tatula SV or the shimano Dc. A determining factor to lean towards one may be the weight of both reels and I think that the weight of the SV is more content.
