This is the reason I like Glenn's videos. He lets you know what bait he's using, but leaves it open so you make your own choice on what brand. Then, he sets it up with a good demonstration. For me, this is the best way to learn. The first one I watched was plastic grub fishing. All since then have been good.                      No hype- just fishing.

i am 99% sure Glenn showed me the Dropshot.  this was before i found this group of enablers.

Been watching a lot of Seth Feider's stuff from *** and its probably the best stuff I've watched. I dont feel like hes gatekeeping any information and gives a lot of relevant info. Aside from his prefered hooks I havent heard him mention any particular bait or company, just general styles. I liked him before but hes probably my top favorite at this point after finding these videos.

When it comes to numbers of good-sized bass, I outcatch 90% of the YouTubers and here's what I know about bass fishing: very, very little. I've caught thousands of them, but they still befuddle me. If I had a good bead on bass, I might quit fishing. The fun is solving the daily puzzles, week after week and year after year.

Here's what I've learned: Take the road less traveled, have at least four rods rigged, stay stealthy, and keep you line wet.

So, my YouTube video would last about ten seconds, but it would be worth watching.

I hate puzzles! I mean literally hate them. When there’s one at the house for family gatherings and somebody makes me help their kid with the puzzle, my eyes go crossed. I’d rather take a minor beating

I find absolutely no fun in turning bass fishing into a puzzle, I just need to go several times each week and fish, without puzzles

I hate to break it to you friend, but Bass fishing is nothing but one big puzzle that resets daily ?

Yeah but I don’t have to try to solve it, I can just fish

number one it would take the fun part out for me

number two anyone that’s been at it a while will tell you the puzzle is never solved

Well, then, you solved life's big puzzle, which is to be present and grateful. You need solve no more. With that, I take my leave:

This lure is all you need for spring”, “ Fishing here during xxxx will guarantee fish”, if you use this weight, you will increase your bites by 90%”.

I’ve never heard any of that or any guarantees but that sounds like click bait videos and not something I’d watch anyway.
The pros that do instructional type videos are the ones I like. They make no guarantees but do teach some pretty standard rules for certain waters and seasons.

As far as how they finish in tournaments. Not every one can finish first. They are fishing against the best in the world. The fact that they are fishing the tours at that level is impressive to me.

Mmmmm sliders.

it’s perfectly fine that we all fish different ways, being present and grateful is all I’ve got being born without the capacity for abstract thought

Hey, we agree on sliders and gratitude, but who couldn't be grateful with a slider in one hand, another in the other hand, and one in the mouth?

I wouldn’t judge them just because they don’t place high in tournaments. Tournament fishing can be as much about LUCK as any skill or machine known to man. Heck, Rick Clunn placed 73rd at the Bassmaster Elites here on lake Okeechobee. He then placed 67th on Lake Seminole. Regardless of his low finishes, I still consider him very knowledgeable and would listen to anything that he has to say, even if he doesn’t dominate the sport. Same goes with a lot of these Internet personalities. Many have paid their dues, and what they have to say just might make a big difference to someone starting out.

I've become fatigued by the internet experts for sure. It's easy to know everything when you're fishing your home pond that you've fished dozens of times during all kinds of conditions. Knowing what you're going to do in a different region of the country on a lake you've never laid eyes on is a whole different ballgame.

I enjoy the show me videos, where they actually show you a lure or technique and then prove it works by catching fish. I'll skip most of the from the shop/truck talk abouts.

My son in law fishes Bass tournaments and won a Bass TBF Federation tournament. Nice to be able to pick his brain, especially about Bass fishing. But I still enjoy certain Youtube fishing channels and pick up a few common sense things from them, but never take what they say as absolute gospel.

Ok, but it is a puzzle, you can just throw the jig saw pieces up in the air like confetti if that's your thing though... :)

I subscribe to a youtube channel because the poster fishes the same lake I do and I learn from him.  He's also my buddy.

Lucky for me I can still catch them just junk fishing.

Smallies are both aggressive and unpredictable.
