Are these flat sided crank’s basically interchangeable, or do you like one better than another?

I like the Frittsides a lot more, just a much more quality bait.   Caught fish on both, but again Rapala's QC didn't thrill me for a $10 bait.   Berkeley's baits are beautiful.

I put prefer the tiny 04 over the small frittside but still use both a ton.  I use the bigger frittsides a lot as well and like them.  Excellent baits.  I find that I like the rapalas better for the slow rise and thinner bill.  I can crawl them and they have better action at slow speed the way that thin bill slices through the water.  They also rise slightly faster than the frittside which nearly suspend and can make crawling rip rap annoying.  I have no opinion on the OG 06 yet but the tiny 04 is a winner.  Also wood > plastic for me.  I always have an appreciation for a bait made out of wood.  If its a rapala and its made from wood then its a fish catcher.   The berkley hard baits are excellent though.   I'm very impressed with their hard baits as a whole and have a lot of faith in them.  Way better hard baits than the powerbait is a softbait.

I can get the Frittside to do a horizontal flip thing the Rapala won't do. I like the Rapala, I like the Frittside more.

I've tried frittsides twice.  Last year I had one leg of a treble break of on a fairy new one.   A couple weeks ago the eyelet came loose from the bill on my 3rd cast with one.   I like the OG's, especially the 4's.  Every now and then I get one with the bill glued in crooked.  I've had no problems getting them replaced.  (I usually buy them locally, they replace them for me and send them back)

 

I love balsa baits.  They're usually kinda fragile.  The plastic frittsides should be tougher, but that's not the case with the ones I've tried.  

 

Rapala could do better with quality control.  I had a DT6 yesterday new out of the box with hooks about as sharp as a ball point pen.

I really like Frittsides.  My only issue is it seem the pike do as well.  I've lost a decent number of them to pointy fish.

The Frittside 5 on a medium spinning rod is deadly.....    John Cox has an entire Bass U seminar just on Frittsides. I don't think he fishes anything other than the 5, 5jr and 5 Biggun..

 

I know he carries 4 colors....

I've had good success on both, and both can be fairly fragile baits unfortunately. I prefer the Frittside over the OG by a good bit if I'd choosing 1 over the other though.

Both are fine but I prefer the Little John if I can get away with it. Hunts and comes through cover better. It’s also 10x better caster. Chick magnet is another great flat sided option.

I was going to mention how I'm starting to prefer the Little Jon 50 if I can get away with it too.   Lost a nice fish on it a few hours ago.  

 

I just hate the weight on the two baits OP mentioned, whereas you can get the same sized bait profile/depth with a Little Jon 50 that weighs 1/2oz and has a nice subtle sound to it.

I have no experience with the otts garage, but if its a rapala it catches fish. That said I've have pretty good luck on the frittsides the past couple springs...honestly for cold water it's my favorite crankbait.
