My buddy wanted to Crappie fish today so they were hitting....... Crappie jigs in black and Chartreuse. ?

Unfortunately a dropshot and a neko worm.....hate fishing with a spinning rod but having to do it. Fun fishing club tournaments when they are used to me powerfishing and come in with a limit on the spinning gear.....although I complain and would rather catch them powerfishing.

Keitech Fat Impact on an Owner Flashy Swimmer, so much so that I'm spending a lot of time figuring out what else they will bite - Swimjig, nope, swim senko yes, chatterbait in any of 100 blades/colors/whatever nope, crank rarely, buzzbait rarely, wacky senko does ok too, but man it's not my speed at all.

All dirt shallow, less than 5FOW.

It’s the way I rig and use it as a top water and as a swim worm.
I’m referring to the point of the cut in the tail end which gives it the action.

When rigged with the point down used on top, it tends to spit water as you reel.
When pointed sideways it allows the body to move also when used as a swim worm.

As was said there is no wrong way, these are mine

It is amazing the variety of lures being used. The conclusion I have chosen is you can catch bass on any lure in your tacklebox if you have the confidence and persistence to try it. I think it comes down to what type of fishing you really enjoy. Some of us like power fishing, some light finesse, and some just some of both.

Yeah, but the point facing left or right? come on, give us the juice... :)

Oh, hard crappie swimbait and slow rolling big spinnerbait getting the bigguns here right now, happy camper.

Absolutely. Luckily, I enjoy some of both and live in a place where I have the entire year to experiment. Apologies to our Northern friends!

I know it’s juvenile , but the first thing I noticed in your photo was the yellow snow to your right.

Nothing has worked for me yet. The conditions have not been favorable. I’m just making excuses though.

A-Jay I feel so bad by seeing this photo, I am gladly inviting you for next year to stop by and I'll bring you fishing when you have frozen lake at your hometown. I dont have bass boat but I have couple friends that I can get their boat anytime :)

@kevinmyfsuKevin, Wacky rig is getting me fish always, Somehow Senko 4" better than anything else. Also Carolina rig/Underspin/jig doing good right now.

@ATA

Thank you very much for the empathy & the very generous offer.

I really appreciate them both.

However in just a couple of weeks, if things go even remotely as planned,

all will be right in my world. (fishing wise).

It doesn’t matter what technique is productive for me right now, I’ve got zero time to fish for the next…… forever. Such is life!

?. I was able to fish off the dock for about 11 minutes, caught a bluegill. That’ll have to hold me for a while

Around here a half ounce tandem spinnerbait worked in and around vegetation has pulled away from the rest of the pack big time.
