Valvodinho Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 I have a couple of JDM Shimano reels (Scorpion 150 MGL and the older JDM Bantam 150 MGL) I love both of these reels but don't care for their smaller handles. I really enjoy the stock Shimano handles and don't particularly care for a lot of replacements I have run across when I did a quick google search. Is there a way to buy USDM size handles possibly directly from Shimano to put on these reels that are identical to the stock Shimano handles that you would find on something like a Curado? Quote

As in the bolts are the same size that locks the handle down Because they are the same reel and amongst different reels they use a standard handle shaft dimension and threading. I can put a modern shimano handle on my scorpion 1000xt. Or a modern Daiwa handle on my 2003 daiwa reels. 1 Quote

This big thing is actually lighter than the stock handle because of carbon weave structure, titanium spindles, and carbon knob tubes. Several members on the forum have replaced their knobs with preferences like cork and wood. The tiny I-shaped rubber knobs on stock handles are actually pretty heavy. 1 Quote
