I've thrown when I am dragging a jig for an ice out bite and just crawl the bait on the bottom. I prefer a jig for this because why waste my dark sleepers and it's one of the few times my waterways have a clean bottom and I get to throw a jig. The dark sleeper has caught fish though. I bring them but usually just go with the jig. Quote
