I’ll be sure to keep my life jacket on while doing it then. That way when I fall in cause I’m asleep I’ll be ok.

That's why I can't do it - I want to work the bait and that's counterproductive for dropshotting.

The Kemushi is on my list to try, I used the hairy dice last year from OSP, and they work.

My strategy this year is to focus on the extremes, I'm fishing mostly BFS and Swimbaits. Ultra big and Ultra small. I feel like the bass in my area see too much of the lures in the middle. Maybe I'll strike out with this approach, but that's what I'm going to do.

I plan to throw the War Eagle Screamin' Eagle, the War Eagle Mike McClelland Finesse Spinnerbait, and the million lipless cranks I have that I never get bit on.

 

I'd also like to figure out paddletail swimbaits.

I get so many baits each year, I don't know what I am excited for this year. The one I am most excited to catch a huge fish on is one of my Black Talon Donks.

What's to figure out? Rig them on a swimbait head, and chuck and wind. You can also Damiki rig the smaller ones.

 I'm looking to mix in a duh spoon and lake fork flutter spoon.  I don't really fish vertically successfully, so I'm looking for cold water horizontal presentations.  I think the flutter spoon has quite a bit of summer potential as well.

Figuring out retrieve speeds, color, when, where, why.  So far what I've been doing and what I've been throwing hasn't been as productive as my other go-to methods, and they seem to be a great bait that should get bit with much more regularity than what has been happening for me.

Oh, specifics? I want to get bit on an X-Nanahan and Raid Level Minnow. I've gotten several Raid Level Jigs, 3.5g size and have some Raid 2Way for trailers. 

 

For other stuff, I want to get a big river smallie on a Magdraft and a Jackhammer.

I hope not.  Every year I get suckered into thinking all of these new lures coming out are better than anything else I already own.  And I waste time and money finding out that, at best, they're just different versions of what I already own.  This year, I'm going to try really hard to convince myself that my tackle box isn't the problem.  And that I need to concentrate my efforts on finding fish and recognizing patterns sooner.  

 

Which means I'll probably decide I need a new sonar at some point, which makes no sense now but...

I think OSP.made those 'hairy dice' to show bass will literally  eat anything.  I bet you could make a 'hairy hot wheels car' that would get bit if you drug it slowly on the bottom.

I picked up an Arashi glide bait for dirt cheap so I’ll give that a couple casts. I also got a bunch of Frittsides to try early spring but work is pushing my first trips into May so I’ll likely miss the super cold water bite.

Hard baits of all kinds. Confidence levels are -3 when I got a hard bait tied on. I've got plenty of them, just can't get myself to tie them on when it comes time. Probably because I want to catch fish and not try other techniques. I'm stuck in my rut!
