Is anyone else having shipping issues recently? I normally don’t order a lot of tackle online but ran into a good sale on Tackle Direct for some Damiki Shad blade baits.  Placed an order the end of last month.  Promptly received tracking information and waited a week and checked and it showed order shipped and was sitting in a hub in New Jersey.  Waited another few days with no updates so I emailed Tackle Direct and they were very apologetic and asked me to give it a couple more days because their shippers were having delays and staffing issues.  I didn’t have a problem with it so I waited until yesterday and still no update so I emailed their customer service and they said they could re-ship or refund.  I’m in no hurry (obviously) so I said to re-ship.  I get an email this morning that they are now out of stock and they can re-ship when the come in or refund.  This is in no way a slam on Tackle Direct.  They have been more than attentive and willing to do whatever it takes to make me happy.  Second issue was with an Amazon order I made before I left for Florida on a fishing trip.  I was expecting it to be waiting for me when I got home.  Instead, I had 1/2 the order.  I go online and same deal Amazon shows order lost in transit and I could re-order or get a refund. I just got a refund on that one.  So, is shipping becoming more of an issue?  I’m not talking about damaged packages, etc., just the plain fact items aren’t making it.

Nope - Fleet Farm is lightning quick. Ordered a few things last week that they didn't have in the local store...were in my hand within 2 days.

Yesterday afternoon, ordered some rope-cleats from FF - they're out for delivery within the next few hours.

I ordered some stuff from Midway USA.  It is less than 200 miles away.  It took 5 days to get here.

Well domestic shipping has sucked and I’ve experienced the same. Also had the package goes back and forth to different hubs about 2 miles from my house.

just ordered a JDM reel shipped Tuesday here today. It blows my mind.

The northeast just got whacked with a huge winter storm, so it’s possible that caused some delays? It seems like every single industry is still suffering the affects of the pandemic. The quality of everything has taken a nose dive. From shipping times to quality of produce. Nothing seems as good at it was before the pandemic.

If USPS is shipping your item, there very well could be delays.  Those have been well-documented recently.  If my regular carrier is out, I don't get any mail.  There simply isn't anyone to fill in.

Weather could play a role regionally.

I ordered 6 topwater frogs online a few weeks back. They were some colours that simply cannot be bought anywhere around me here in Ontario, so I ordered them from a supplier in the states. Three different colours, two of each colour choice. Everything went through and got the tracking number etc. last week I got two packages in the mail. Each package had two baits in it, and the third one is still somewhere in Chicago according to the tracking. It’s no big deal, as I won’t be using them for months yet, but why they couldn’t put six little bitty frogs in one package to ship ( all came from the same store), is beyond my thinking abilities?

I've noticed a definite slow down with some of the stuff I order from Amazon. Bass Pro Shops are still lightening fast. Place an order and have it within two to three days.

One of FedEx's gorilla's did bust up and rod tube this week. Thankfully the rod wasn't hurt at all.

I’m a little more concerned because I am getting ready to pull the injectors out of my Yamaha and send them to be cleaned, adjusted and flow tested.  Replacement of 6 injectors if they get lost in transit is not on my to do list.

I think you can insure them should they get lost or damaged in shipping.  It will cost more up front, but it beats not seeing them again with a total loss.

LOL. "fulfilment" is the keystone cops bit of online shopping. Everyone just makes it up as they go along.

Here is one of my favorites, (besides Academy shipping 20 things in 9 shipments)I needed some 3/4" plywood for a small project, and found a good price on a 4'x2' piece, and ordered it from Home Depot for store pickup thinking it would arrive on one of their shipments, or they would cut it down from a full sheet. Got the email it was ready for pick up a few days later, and when I picked it up, out comes the box, with the shipping label from the mill, and the shipping cost on it, and the shipping was more than the cost of the plywood, and it was clearly the only thing shipped in it.

Nope - just a regular guy...I don't even know anyone who works there.

Another order made today - they had a 'scratch off' for St Pats day for members of their Rewards Program - I got 20% off my order....some line, a couple lures.

It's already out the door and I should have it tomorrow.

The line is green - some Sufix 832 that was already marked down 40% for the Spring Fishing sale.

Lures however - several Rapala Rap-Vs and some Northland Deep-Vee bucktail jigs.
