Best deal I found today and this is why I like the fishing flea markets.

Yard sales are good too.

The fishing flea market season is pretty much over around here.  There's one next week down the shore, but most likely the emphasis will be on salt water items.  My buddies and I go to most of the ones that are within reasonable driving distance.  Last one I went to a couple of weeks ago, I picked up six lures, 2 Rebel minnows, 2 Yozuri minnows, a Jitterbug and a Hula Popper for a total of $15.  The Hula Popper cost me $0.50.  It was pretty beat up and didn't have a skirt.  I refurbish them,  just clean them up, touch up the colors, add eyes if they don't have them and replace the hooks.  I have a half-dozen functional lures.  I mainly fly fish, but they'll get some use when I switch over to the dark side.

Regular flea markets usually have some tables that are dedicated to fishing gear and if you know what your looking for you can get some decent deals.

wish they had fishing flea markets around these parts.  I have a ton of gear I'm looking to sell off, but don't want to hassle with trying to sell on Facebook MarketPlace.  The lures I can list here or on FleaBay, but with the cost of shipping rods, there are few inquires.

All the ones around here are done in the local area. There is one just about every weekend from January to mid March. So many deals and chances to unload unused gear.

We only have one.  It is a once a year deal at a marine dealership down towards Table Rock Lake.  He charges $50 per table and it is a 2 day event.

I agree Papa!   I think it could be a double edged sword though.  On one shoulder, my wife saying get rid of some of the stuff, and on the other, you know who ? ???, telling me to grab all the great deals.   I might be pulled right in half!!

I wish we had one here, but i guess our lure swap would count as one.

I post any upcoming shows in the North East forum that are local to me.

Scored 8 MB Vision 110's NIP for $100 once.
