Tatulatard Posted March 14, 2023 Posted March 14, 2023 I wouldn't consider the new zillion bulky. It's way more compact than the previous generation while sharing the same spool dimensions. It is a 34 mil spool vs the 32 of many of the lews reels so that will add some additional height. To be super nitpicky it is more tall in the front part of the frame than it needs to be IMO. There is a gap between the top of the t wing and bottom of the frame. Also the reel uses a plastic top cover like the curado 200k and this cover adds height and the way it is shaped with the two ridges adds height as well. If you palm with 3 fingers in front of the trigger with your thumb on top of the frame the reel will feel taller or "bigger" than 32 mil and some 34 mil reels. It's not much but it can be said it is slightly taller. Retaining the standard 34 mil spool was worth it because owners of the reel can put whatever spool in they want or buy this spool and put it in their other daiwa reels. 1 Quote
