I don't think eyeballs is a big part of the business model, but I don't follow the business side too closely, I'm sure they will continue to follow their best financial interests, whatever that may be.

Absolutely.   I just think the fan base will drop and that should influence the financials.

I think what is way more common than fans dropping out is fans purchasing a livescope

That's a poor analogy - should we be allowing all athletes to take HgH? Steroids? Those are advances in medicine so it's all good, right?

They don't allow live bait - there are restrictions to the sport but most of them seem to be rules that directly benefit the pockets of companies...

We allow athletes to use the best shoes on the market.

There are many banned running shoes - the shoes have to conform to standards depending on the event and sport. You can't use a baseball cleat to play soccer...

I worked with the girl that played Debbie in a cheerleader outfit (in retail, not a movie set)...

These things always crack me up.  I am guessing the same people who think FFS will ruin the sport also thought the snakehead were going to decimate bass populations, or that the world is flat or that the election was rigged or countless other unfounded conspiracies.

If people are so concerned about this way of fishing then why bother catching fish if it is the process that really matters and not the catching.

Don’t forget tournaments, these bass that live 5-10 years can’t withstand 50 years of bass tournaments. Oh wait you mean they already have and are now larger?? Well…..

Oh, it is definitely happening, much to my chagrin!   It is just my opinion and it won’t matter at all in the big picture.  We all have to decide what we think and how we will feel about this and then proceed in our own ways.

Go watch some Ben Milliken videos, he's savant level good on it, and he doesn't hide how he's using it.

I watched this video where the livescope screen was on the video the whole time as an overlay. It was absolutely riveting. It might increase pro viewership, because you can see what's really going on.

Might not happen because all the competitors could see it too... but at least there's something happening besides watching some guy cast.

If you haven't seen this one, it's definitely worth a watch whether you do or don't have livescope. He's not very hyperbolic, feels more instructional here.

I was too afraid to post it.....but that's the EXACT video I wanted to post.  I've sent it to a few friends, they were all blown away like I was.

I knew the tech well, seen it used lots, seen screen shots, short videos, etc.   I watched that video and said to myself, "yep I'm getting FFS before somebody else does on my homelake" ?

I already love using down/side scan sonar to fish, so I'm down with looking at a screen if that's what people want to term it.     I can't think of anything more exciting PG13 rated.

BASS live shows a lot of live sonar footage this season, they got some great shots of Tyler rivets unit in that first tourney
