BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted March 7, 2023 BassResource.com Administrator Posted March 7, 2023 TactX is a brute! Extremely strong, and extremely affordable. Love this stuff! 4 Quote
Super User Munkin Posted March 7, 2023 Super User Posted March 7, 2023 Personally I don't think much about what braided line costs because it lasts for years. Using 50lb Power Pro on my frog rod that was spooled in 2017. Allen 7 Quote

Allen Same here - the 50#832 on my pitching rig is going into it's 4th year as is the 40#832 on my frog rig and the 20#832 on my MH/F spinning rig. Maybe next year I'll reverse them... Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted March 7, 2023 Global Moderator Posted March 7, 2023 I’m loving the tactix 50 braid for big swimbaits and for catfishing 2 Quote
Super User king fisher Posted March 7, 2023 Super User Posted March 7, 2023 Diawa J Braid. I have tried many braids and feel J Braid is the best bang for the buck. I use it in both fresh and salt water with no complaints. 1 Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted March 7, 2023 Super User Posted March 7, 2023 J braid is good and so is Katsking once the dye wears off. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted March 7, 2023 Global Moderator Posted March 7, 2023 I've got the 10lb on my Ned rig rod and I've been really happy with it. Quote
fin Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 That's pretty cool that you get free leader material with it. Quote

detroit1 Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 What does extremely affordable even mean? Less than $10 per 100 yds.? Free? (for Glen ha ha) Quote
Fat Ika Posted March 7, 2023 Posted March 7, 2023 Hard for me to ever switch from J Braid 8 on spinning and Sunline xplasma for casting needs. I thought Sufix 131 was the ultimate for distance casting/line management for baitcasting needs. Then tried xplasma. Never once had a braid lash with xplasma on baitcaster. It'll probably happen this year now. Since I'm not the best at line management, just can't put a price on braid for me personally. Maybe I'll try cheap Seaguar braid for backing on flouro casters. If it results in better flouro line laying vs other cheap braids, then I'll have a use for it. Quote
Hook2Jaw Posted March 8, 2023 Posted March 8, 2023 Berkley X9 for me, the stuff is spectacular. It is very cool that Seaguar includes leader material with the Tactx. Quote

So, it has great abrasion resistance and overall strength, but it is not a soft and supple as Gold Label Hope this helps On 3/7/2023 at 2:55 PM, detroit1 said: What does extremely affordable even mean?
