I bought some when I didnt trust gravity.  all the ones I bought were way too heavy.  probably okay for wacky worming a river with (heavy) current, but for my needs they were a waste of money.  I took them out of my kayak box and put them into the bin.."broken toys".

now I need some...1/16th or 3/32.  I know Jackall makes some.  any others.  I think I like the tiny single strand weed guard of the jackall.

thoughts?  I am not above crimping a split shot on my current setup.  :)

I use vmc or luck e strike in 1/16 oz for my bass pro stick os to bring up the fall rate to get the bait flapping and on bass pro flicking shimmy worms.  I'm sure there are better ones out there but all my terminal tackle comes from brick and mortar.  Can't be bothered to wait 2 weeks for hooks and line to show up when it need it this weekend so I am limited to my local bass pro.

I've got Reaction Tackle Tungsten wacky jigs in 1/16 and 1/8 - regular and weedless (so four choices) to increase the fall rate. Some stick worms give more action if the fall rate rises.

I don't wacky rig much, but when I do I use a removable split shot about a foot above the hook.  That way I don't need to tie on a new hook if the bass wants a different rate of fall.

The best used to be Revenge Flippin Wackers.  Stout hook, solid brush weed guard, and recessed line tie.   They stopped making them about 3 years ago.  Still makes me sad.  I loved those.   Haven’t found exactly what I want yet.  Have tried a lot of them.  A kind member sent me some of his, and they were really nice, but I struggled with the circle hook and no weed guard.   I am going to try a few more and see what is out there.  I still have like 5 packs of the Flippin Wackers that I only use in tournaments now.  I even contacted Mike at Siebert Outdoors about making something like them.  Good luck in your search!

Gamakatsu used to offer this hook.  I never dropshot wacky but my buddies that do used to like it for the added action.

Thanks.   I like.  The Jackall is tungsten but the owner might be fine.

The Jackall tungsten heads are great, but I see they’ve raised the price again to basically $10 for 3 - but the weights are good, the hook is solid, and the weedguard works well (until it eventually falls off - lol). It’s the one I probably use most.

I know alot of guys don’t like these but I have zero complaints with these Berkley Fusion. They work great in the River for Smallies. I really like 1/16 ounce , Really works great in current

These work well, and stronger than they look.  I had to put way more pressure than I thought the little hook would take in order to keep a 9.5 pound largemouth away from a tree.  Landed the bass and hook wasn't bent at all.

i use vmc and the berkley fusion in1/16 and 3/32 for river fishing . no complaints.

With the prices on these hooks, I’m extremely lucky I have a friend who pours his own and makes them with quality hooks. It’s not unusual to go through 10-15 on an average day on the river we regularly fish.

River fishing is a whole different story...I have had days where i will go through 100's of terminal tackle... Tungsten is pretty much a no-go on the river.

Something that hasn’t been mentioned yet. Perhaps instead of going with a weighted wacky hook, insert a nail weight into the stick bait instead. I was never a big fan of weighted wacky hook, so I just fish a “neko” rig instead now. I personally think the action is a little better when the stick bait itself is heavier rather than the hook or jig attached to it.

this is something different.   the weight on the hook imparts the craziest wiggle to the worm.

I've heard it called the flick shake or something.  I actually ordered some flick worms to try.  I need to kick my friends butts.  I showed them everything I know, and now I need to go to Japan to find new techniques to keep secret from them.  hahahha

Jackall created the Flick Shake jig using their Flick Shake worm, still a excellent choice.

The nail weight now Neko weight is a good technique to add 1/16, 3/32, 1/8 oz weight to a wacky rigged soft plastic or use a drop shot rig. Owners Weedless Wacky Jungle Hook is ideal for both wacky nail weights (Mustad Tungsten) or drop shot rigs.

I use a lot of these when the water gets clear. Pictured is a 1/16 1 hook  and a 1/8 2 hook that I make.  Different sizes of hooks can be used but these are the ones I use the most.  If you can't find any I can just send you some of these.

This is what I used. But...The jr size..

Perfect for 4 to 6 inch Fat robo or 5 inch thin senko that I always used with it. Amazing hooks not too wide for its size.

I use this alot with the bass pro flickin shimmy knock off in plum with metal flake.  If I want to be cheap about it I use the 1/16 luck e strike weedless wacky jig heads.  I'll skip docks in spring just to give them something a little different to look at vs the 100 billion green pumpkin senkos they have seen.

Try the Jackal color cola. I am a GP guy day in and out but for these cola has been the best color for like 10 years. Luckily I found someone selling off a bunch of them at $2 a pack so I am set for a decade or so.
