txchaser Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 The Sebile Soft Swimmer is one of my favorite weedy baits. Tight s-wave on the reel, perfect fall when you kill it. But, Sebile got bought and the new owners discontinued it. Any idea where I can find them beyond ebay? Every now and then a pack pops up there, often in odd colors or for $20.00. Or maybe a good alternative with a similar action? Sebile's new company is making some out of elaztech, they aren't really the same. 1 Quote
softwateronly Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 Miss those things, all they ever did was catch for me. scott 1 Quote
txchaser Posted March 5, 2023 Author Posted March 5, 2023 And they look really complicated to try to custom pour... 1 Quote
snake95 Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 This is just a hunch, but keep an eye out at Ollie's stores if you have any. If you aren't familiar with Ollie's, they sell overstock items, closeouts on discontinued products, etc. Some Ollies tend to get fishing gear stock wiped out quickly if they are in the right place (e.g. near lakes), in others, products languish forever. They have carried Sebile Magic Swimmers (at least the hard version) in the past. This leads me to assume there is a connection between Sebile and Ollies. They tend to maintain connections with the same brands from year to year, for whatever reason. In my experience Ollie's tackle prices range from phenomenal to head-scratching high for a discount store (mostly the later). 1 1 Quote
Dogface Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 I agree about Ollies. I get some great deals but sometimes the prices are at or over retail. 1 Quote
Dogface Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Ollies a few months ago. They only had one. 2 Quote

txchaser Posted March 7, 2023 Author Posted March 7, 2023 Thanks yall, I hadn't heard of Ollies and it turns out they have some. It looks like Simmons in AL has some listed on the bay but I can't find a web site for them anywhere. 1 Quote
Super User Munkin Posted March 8, 2023 Super User Posted March 8, 2023 I will keep an eye out for them at Ollies. I do have a bunch of the weights that are used on these. Allen 1 1 Quote
