GRRRRR..i have had sinus problems going on 6 weeks.  mild tooth pain as well.  the tooth thing progressed to beyond what i am comfortable with so i called my dentist.  "upper back molar"...he looked and looked and tested and tested, xrays..all of it.  perplexed.  flummoxed.  he said "all you upper molars are fine."   he did call his buddy who does nothing but root canals for a second opinion. (i have the best dentist on the planet).  he friend said, "Send him over".  My dentist did say teeth issues can jack with sinuses and ears.

same test, but way better scans.  3D scans and some electric probe thing to test nerve health.  all good.  same thing.  nothing wrong with upper molars.   very cool guy, even cooler assistant.  it was odd, that i was actually sad my teeth were fine.  i want to stare my pain enemey in the eyes.

i went and saw my regular doctor.  she looked at my ears, nose, etc.  nothing.  she cleaned my ears and i was...errrr...right, i bet that fixes up my teeth.  hahahha.

today..i was driving and the tooth pain came on again.  hard..and then it subsided to a very dull ache.  like a genius that i am, i eat a walnut.  DUH!  OUCH!!  it was my LOWER MOLAR that hurt!!!!  i told all the dentist the WRONG TOOTH.

i called the root canal guy and he explained there are two types of nerves in our jaws.  one that just caused everything to hurt and then the second type that causes pain we can point at.

i want this fixed.  he said the happiest words ever..."tomorrow at 1:00 pm?  i can squeeze you in"   YES!!!  i am in San Diego next week and the thoughts of googling the nearest dentist down there was daunting.  i want this behind me..anyway.

FLOSS BRUSH IRRIGATE is my mantra.  i am not losing another one.

I had tooth pain a few weeks ago.  I was going for an extraction instead of a root canal if needed.  I had an infection in my gums.  A "deep clean" special mouthwash, and some antibiotics and I'm good as new.

Good luck.  Tooth, jaw and mouth pain...... sucks.

My fishing partner and best friend of over 40 years just had all his upper teeth pulled and now has new dentures.

He looks funny without all those snags. ?

My teeth problems come in waves.  I will get a couple of abscess teeth a few months apart and need root canals on them.  Since it started warming up the problem I'm having is sinus pressure in my teeth.

I still have all my wisdom teeth.

I think most people have had them removed, so I am in the minority on this one.  They do not bother me and they can be cleaned adequately, so there is no reason to remove them.

Mine didn't bother me until I hit 50 - then one-by-one they started giving me issues. Now I don't have any of them left.

Don’t even go there with me.  2- 4 hour sessions to rebuild my entire upper teeth.  6 months later I get up and while brushing my teeth, I notice a gap between my 2 fronts.  The next day I get up and one of my front teeth turned almost completely sideways.  Went into my dentist and he immediately referred me to a specialist.  Come to find out I had a genetic gum disease and per my oral surgeon we may have had to operate and rebuild my sinuses.  YIKES! I was petrified.  3 operations later I have a full set of implants in my upper jaw.  I’m great now but it’s been over a year of pure hell.

No teeth issues, thankfully.

At least you didn't say "no teeth."

super cool.  my Dentist and i had an odd conversation.  he said, kids are starting to be born with no wisdom teeth.  the theory was that their purpose was to come up when we lost teeth.  they are impacted for the purpose of pushing the gaps together.   as an engineer, i think body mechanics are fantastic.

Hang in there @Darth-Baiter! Glad you got the problem identified.

Thankfully, my teeth have been pretty solid through the years, I'm 55 now.

Eyes are good as well...still very close to 20/20.

Lower body...not so much. Born with club foot and one leg 1/4" shorter than the other. Never really cause me any problems...played HS sports...and recreational sports.

Played a lot of pick-up basketball...worked on college campus and played pretty much every day with faculty, staff and students.  20 years ago, at age 35, I ruptured my Achilles tendon(!) Repair surgery, then four weeks non-weight bearing.  Got off crutches, and it popped again walking across yard. Another surgery, then 8 weeks non-weight bearing.  Needless to say, my basketball days were over right then and there.

I've also broken my foot twice.

Getting old stinks...but like my uncles says, "any day on this side of grass is a good day!"

things got real.

i got a root canal.  the guy just jumped in no foreplay.  i was like..wahhh?  .  he did find the crack.  now i am just sore after the procedure.  my regular dentist said to expect 2 days of soreness.

i am gonna brush and floss at every chance i get from now on.  i put a toothbrush in my computer bag.  i might drop one in my truck and work vehicle.

teeth are precious.

Cracked teeth, unfortunately, are common.  Especially as we age. And the crack can get infected....and take MONTHS to become painful.  The fix is almost always the same - root canal.  They're no fun.

My wife has a dental practice in Puerto Vallarta.  If anyone needs dental work come to Mexico.  While you are here you might as well go bass fishing.  Catching a DD bass will make the pain of a visit to the dentist go away quick.

I’ve had two root canals.  They’re much easier now than they used to be.  The first one I got was in the early 80s.  It took six trips to the endodontist.  The second one took one trip and about an hour.

i had 3 molar implants done 2 years ago. The pain in mouth lasted 10 days. The pain in my bank account still hurts.

Always had teeth problems and am now 75.  3 years ago  replaced all my teeth with permanent dentures. 8 implants and took about a year  to complete. Nice to not have constant pain.
