Super User Bird Posted February 23, 2023 Super User Posted February 23, 2023 I'm upgrading the console sonar in the boat so shined a light up under and there is a 5 amp fuse already wired hot and ground with open ends ready to be used. I'm going to use it as it's to convenient. Lol It's labeled " DROP " . Does anyone know what that may stand for. Quote
Global Moderator 12poundbass Posted February 23, 2023 Global Moderator Posted February 23, 2023 In my world (utilities) a drop is something that comes off from a main. Example: Out at your road, there’s a phone main running along the road. A drop comes off from the main going to your house to give you service. So, I would assume your wires labeled “drop” comes from somewhere with a main feed (maybe a fuse panel) to give you power for such things as a fish finder. 1 Quote

Super User Bird Posted February 25, 2023 Author Super User Posted February 25, 2023 Didn't fish, just took the wife for a ride in the boat. She said 40mph was terrifying. ? We stayed in Harriman, y'all got a great state. Didn't have a Tennessee fishing license. 1 Quote
