i have a couple of ponds in our office complex.  sadly they appear bass-less.  i have tried a few times with small walking baits and i dont even get followers.  the water is clear now and i walked the banks looking for life.  NADA!

total bummer, since a small bass pond would vastly improve my lunch hour.  ha!

you office folks.  do you have an office complex pond or lake?

We do not have an office/company owned lake like that, but I am about 10 minutes from a park on the river where I go to fish at lunch every chance I get.

Looks like a nice pond you have there. Too bad there's no fish.

I work from home, but I've always followed the mantra "Never fish off the company pier." Although I don't think they are actually referring to fishing.

II use to work at a plant where the Monocacy River passed by. I was able to convince my Boss to let me forgo breaks and take an hour lunch. Wasn't many big fish in it, but I could stack up the numbers. Brian.

I’m self-employed as a landscaper, and occasionally I’ll work on properties that are waterfront. I’ve asked a few times if I can fish and was always welcomed. But normally I like to just finish my work and get home so I can take my boat out where I wanna go.

I'm work from home now, but our office that I am tied to has pond in the office park.  Never explored it but its big enough and has enough cover in it to hold fish.  It has a small runoff stream that feeds it which is a plus.

The better question is can you work from where you fish?  Since most everything I do can be done from my phone, I can jump in the boat with a set of headphones and take calls from the water.  This guy was caught listening to a town hall last year.

I've participated in conference calls with a bluetooth in my ear numerous times from my kayak. As long as it's not something intense that I need to take notes on beyond jotting down something simple in my phone notes, it's doable. If someone just has to talk to me on a Friday outside of tax season, they may hear the wind blowing in the background!

I fish from work, but I also work from home.

Sneak in at night and start stocking that sucker!!! That's what livewells are for! Then keep it a secret and you'll have your very own bass pond in a couple years.

Being self employed, probably about 90% of my work is for customers that have seasonal properties, almost always on some form of waterbody. Usually about a half dozen times a year or so I have to use my boat to get to the job ( island properties or water access only), and I almost always try to get done early, or maybe stretch the job an extra half day and fish my way back to the ramp.
I’ve also found many fantastic little spots on lakes I’ve fished for years, just by simply taking a walk down to the dock at lunch to have a look around. Lots of little out of the way things like small weed beds, old dock cribs, rock piles etc that I’ve driven past a thousand times in the boat and never even noticed.

Hey Darth, even though there may not be fish in there, i would still test baits and practice your bottom feel.

River runs right by our mill, we actually have outflows that drain into the river. I have many trails I slip away on and catch a bass or 3.

I might not make it to the professional level, but I do get paid to bass fish. ?

@Darth-Baiter seems like a great place to dump some bluegill and bass.?‍♂️

Great idea. I’m gonna test run my new walking top water next week.

Nowhere to fish where I work.  If there was, I probably wouldn't get anything done.

My plant is literally in the middle of a cornfield. The river is about a mile away but there are no roads down to it near the plant. We have 3 ponds onsite but they are devoid of fish, plenty of bull frogs and an occasional snapping turtle. Do have a small creek on the back of the property, guys have trapped minnows out of it over the years.

I'm a DM for an auto center company and drive quite a bit as I cover a large area. I pass so many ponds and lakes; I always want to stop but never have.

Maybe I need to keep a rod in my truck

I am on the road visting sites, see alot of places to fish. With the company logo plastered all over my vehicle, fishing whether on my break or lunch, is frowned upon. People had a tendency to turn you in.

I do commission sales all over N. Florida. Since I’m not on the clock, I often fish between stops. I am discreet though with the work vehicle and all, so I fish only where I can park and walk a short distance away.

Caught a 8.6 in a work route pond once !

When i was in the corporate world there were a bunch of ponds in our office complex and all held bass, some decent sized.  A few went through some weird algae blooms that seemingly killed most living things off but the others were still fine.  I would go out early before work some days and hit them at lunch on others.

Now being a teacher no chance to leave during the day for anything but I am about 5 minutes from the James river.

I’ve got a 109 acre public lake two miles from my office on campus. I definitely plan to start hitting it up before work soon, and already do after work. There in also a pond on the golf course behind my office bldg that I’ve heard holds massive bass, but not sure we can fish it as it’s owned by the University.
