I ran across one of these at a WalMart  while driving through Iowa.  Hadn't seen one in ages, but I do remember them being a good producer in the spring from ice-out until the spawn was over.

Any of you still use one? If so, do you limit it's use to early season, or is it a year round offering for you?

I like cotton Cordell brand alot. I have done well with their crankbaits. I have several wafer shads. I haven't caught anything on them. I hooked into a big catfish once with it. I really thought they would do well. I still think they would do good. Perhaps I wasn't throwing them at the right time or what not. They break easily. Broke one doing the flat water slap to knock weeds off.

I have a few as well as some Thin Fins, I mostly troll with them cause they cast like a potato chip. Fish do like them though.

Looks like a cheap Thin Fin. I've had some good days with them but I haven't fished one in years.

I purchased a wafer shad from walmart and I haven't had any luck with it. I was hoping it'd be different enough that it'd get bit at my heavily pressured local city lake, but I haven't tried it there yet.

I did try it at a small private lake with little pressure, but they didn't like it that day.

How does one fish it? I'm not used to sinking lipped crankbaits. I fished it about like I would a suspending jerkbait.
