It's time to respool several reels that have aging 20lb braid on them. I'm a cheapass so periodically do things like reverse spool form one spool to another to get that fresh braid down underneath but I've already done this with most of these reels. It's time to pony up and buy a fresh bulk spool. I'm a Powerpro guy - will probably get that, but admit I haven't paid much attention to the other brands. Any suggestions for a bulk spool - maybe 600 to 1200 yards?

Check Amazon.  A while back I got a large spool of 30lb Suffix 832 for a really good price.  Don't recall exactly, but it was a good bit cheaper than PP.

A 600 yard spool of Sunline Xplasma is on sale few places for $55. Great braid, thin but not quite as thin as JDM PE, long lasting (color fades but last longer than most), casting is fantastic on spinning gear and it's not as load as some braid.

Original 4 strand Power Pro is the only braid I use. I’ve tried plenty of other brands & didn’t like any of them as much as Power Pro. And yes, I know I’m in the minority here. ?

That being said, Wal-Mart has always been the place that seems to have the best everyday price for Power Pro. I think it’s still just under $13 for a 150 yd spool.

Forgot to add, Wal-Mart might have bulk spools available online, but I’ve never checked. Biggest spools I’ve seen in store are 300 yds.
