Has anyone upgraded their LVS32 to the new LVS34 for Livescope? It runs about 1200.00 plus tax and I am wanting opinions on the product if possible.

I have the 93SV and I'm wondering if the clarity improvement will be worth the cost.

Thanks

I upgraded but haven't been on the water with it yet. I did a lot of research and you tube watching first. I think the consensus is about 30% increase in distance, less or no ghost tree, and no dead spots. Also, Garmin states an improvement of target separation. I think it was something along the lines of 15" compared to 24" from the old one, but I may be off on those numbers. You should be able to sale you 32 for about 300, so that offsets the cost a little. Or keep it as a spare. It was an easy decision for me, but everyone's money situation, needs, and value are different.

Would like to hear your opinion when you are able to use.

I run both the 32 and 34 - yes there is a 30% difference in Forward or Down facing modes, You can tell if you have both setup to change from perspective to forward/down etc. (I have the mount for the 32, the 34 comes with it).

Now is it worth it? Depends - if you looking at a giant school of crappie, no. Looking at a school of bass, yes. If you are looking for single fish - absolutely go with the 34.

In your situation, I think you would have a better overall experience upgrading your graph to an Ultra series for the best bang for the buck. That is however assuming you are running your 9” as your main system.

I follow too much tech…and while I’ve enjoyed the LVS32 for years I just don’t see the gains worth the cost. 60-70% cost increase for 30% gain isn’t a wise decision when upgrading tech IMO. Throw in the Bait Monkey clause and all bets are off though….We all like new toys. ;)

I’m skipping this one and waiting for the next one and I assume that next one will be with an upgraded box / processing to go with it.

I will say this, the extra money for the 34 was not worth it for me - even upgrading to the UHD2s and lvs34 would not be worth it, again, for me.
