I fish mostly places your boat can’t go, I’m looking at expanding my reach this year though, I want to chase smallmouths.

My PB LMB came out of Island Grove in Abington.. 4lb 10oz.

I've never fished Island Grove. It always looked so choked with weeds. Tough fishing I would imagine. I also have a nice canoe for getting into the small skinny stuff. I haven't used that in a very long time. I probably should sell it. I hate to see it just sit there unused.

My daughter and her husband live on Oldham Pond in Hanson/Pembroke so I fish that a lot.

I like your username. One of my kids have a friend nicknamed lil’ biscuits. He’s a Wooley mammoth , that kid is enormous. Anyway . It’ll be nice to chat with you.

A lot of the water I fish was super weed choked this past season. My best pattern at the Grove is pulling fish out from under the bridge on hot bright days… there’s essentially no other shadows on the whole pond and they stack up under the bridge.

I remember Oldham being great when I was a kid.. I haven’t tried it since getting back into fishing… again my goal this year is to try more water. My number one go to has been Robbins Pond in EB, but it was just flooded by a dam break and I don’t know what the outcome of that is yet.

If your canoe is a Radisson or Sportspal I’d be interested, but you should keep it and use it. I love canoe fishing little puddles.

The canoe I was referring to is an Old Town, but I do have an old Radisson sitting in my daughter's yard if you're interested. It's ugly, but it floats and doesn't leak. I have the Radisson foam seats and a set of paddles. You come get it and you can have it free.

I’m definitely interested but I have to give you something for it… I’m out of town a few days(headed to MN for my in-laws 50th anniversary) but we’ll figure it out sometime before spring, or earlier whatever works for you.

You ever fish for trout, I was thinking of trying to fish the stocked trout this spring. The MA wildlife site gives a schedule of when and where they stock. I’m specifically eyeballing Long Pond Plymouth for trout and there’s supposed to be smallmouth in there.

You don't need to give me anything. I'm sure my daughter and her husband will be glad to get it out of the yard. Lol

I haven't fished the trout in Long Pond on opening day in many years. To me, it wasn't very sporting. Too easy. I have caught smallmouth in Long Pond as well as Halfway Pond. John's Pond in Mashpee is one of my favorite smallmouth ponds.
