Dogface Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 I fish mine like my other jerk baits. Right now it is my favorite jerk bait. 1 Quote
5by3 Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 I fished one the other day for the first time. I was pretty impressed. Held its own, if not performed slightly better, than a vision 110 for me. The fish seemed to like the slow sink that day. 1 Quote
Dogface Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Let me throw this out there. My son and I were fishing for SM and he wanted to try a grass bed for LM. It was windy and we had been fishing for hours. I was relaxing and running the bow mount with the remote from the rear of the boat and my son was casting to the grass. I was dragging/trolling a Stunna off the stern in front of the grass. In a a distance of about 200 yards I caught five pike. I wasn't working the Stunna in any way just using the trolling motor to cause movement. Quote
softwateronly Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 The stunna has produced best for me on the days they want it fast. I'm still learning it though. scott 1 Quote

I wouldn’t place the result of catching pike solely on a stunna or the way you were fishing it. They’ll bite just about anything. You could have been fishing with a shoe and they would attack that sometimes. 1 Quote
mcipinkie Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 Vision 110 knock off. $10 cheaper. I like them. Swap out a hook or two and they'll suspend. Quote

Primus Posted January 29, 2023 Posted January 29, 2023 I was very happy with my results last year , it has a slow sink which I think can be advantageous when fishing cold water . Cast well with decent hardware. It was one of my better performing jerkbaits of last season. 2 Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted January 30, 2023 Global Moderator Posted January 30, 2023 It's been best for me in really cold water when that slow sink right into the fish's face can really trigger bites. If you're looking for a Megabass KO, this isn't it, the Stunna is it's own bait. The Hankie Pankie color has been a winner for me. 2 Quote

You mentioned slow sink, I've had good luck letting a finesse size Duo bait sink right into their faces. I might grab a Stunna and use it the same way. 1 Quote
Super User FishTank Posted February 1, 2023 Super User Posted February 1, 2023 I have a couple different colors and have had no luck. Can't say why. It looks like a great bait. It does everything I want in a jerkbait but so far no fish. I can cast a 110 or a Pointer in the same spot as the Stunna and get bit. One thing with this bait, I have not fished it in cold water so not giving up on it yet. Quote

Super User Munkin Posted February 1, 2023 Super User Posted February 1, 2023 Guess I will get one to try this year? Normally I stay clear of Berkley hardbaits because they were poorly made. Allen Quote

I have several baits from their new lineup and almost all have made it to the starting lineup. 3 Quote

Super User OkobojiEagle Posted February 1, 2023 Super User Posted February 1, 2023 I'd like to see results of study that compares sinking jerkbait success in lakes with a shad forage base to a lake with a perch/minnow forage base but no shad. Quote
