I over bought

Full admission, I kind of did this too.  When the pandemic sent the demand for fishing tackle soaring, all the shelves went bare (I am almost exclusively an in-store shopper).  So I kind of panicked.  Couldn't find what I needed that season, and when I did, it showed up late.

That following winter, I decided I wasn't going to run out again like I did the previous season.  So when I saw it, I bought it.  A lot of it.

Obviously the supply chain has mostly caught back up, so there's no need to panic buy, but I went overboard on some of this tackle.

Want? Lots of things.

Need? Nothing.

There's some new cranks and jerks I want to try, and I want to try the Slobberknocker. Will I actually scrape any spare change together to actually do it? Maybe, or maybe not.

I never stop buying crap hahahaha. In fact, just had another tackle delivery today!

I've been looking at buying a new UL spinning rod.  Casting some of those small panfish baits with my ML rod takes some practice.

I stocked up on quite a bit when those Pure Fishing codes were going around.  50% off is tough to resist..  Most excited to try out my new Revo STX / Vendetta combo and the 8wt fly rod for some smallies.

I received my two replacements for a broken G Loomis 843 and an 844 rod via the Expeditor rod replacement program.

I love this company for this, both rods broke from unexpected circumstances.

A jig hit one just wrong, and the other had a casting hit.

$260 total  for both an IMX-Pro and a GLX, what great deal.

I ordered them when winter hit thinking it might take some time, both shipped the day I ordered them!

I just bought a tranx 151 and a ST. Croix med heavy for texas rigging. Plus stocking up on terminal tackle and plastics for that. I stocked up on some of the DT series crank baits as well. I am trying to branch out a little more this year.

I’d also like to try my hand at a local tournament a year

I just bought some items that needed replenishment (Fat IKA’s, Neko Machos, hooks, bullet weights). Other than that, I’m pretty set. Have more more baitcaster to respool (either Big Game or Yo-Zuri hybrid) and I’m ready for spring (still fishing now, though).

But I do think I’m going to buy a new baitcasting combo. Looking hard at Falcon Caras and Daiwa Tatulas. Only thing I can’t decide on is what presentation I want it for. As it would most likely be my most sensitive rod, bottom fishing with Texas rigs or jigs would seem like a smart choice.

Well yesterday I ordered some zman flashback mini chatterbaits and damiki armor shads after picking the brain of @AlabamaSpothunter about them. Seen them bragged up in several posts and after digging thru the details they seem like the perfect ice out moving bait for some of my local lakes. Guess we will find out in a few months. Outside of those I ordered some mustad bait scissors for cutting shad and chubs on my catfish outings. Its easy to say I'm all set now, but we've got alot of winter ahead of us.

The owner hard baits, the zip n ziggy and their minnow bait

They do have a few colors of the Ziggy in stock, but I'm assuming you know that.

Those new STX's look sweet.  For those that have not seen it....

Hopefully looking to get a few new combos this year and add another unit up front. As far as baits go, I pretty much restocked everything I used up last year that are my go-to's. I do want to try a few new things I have yet to order like the FF Minnow, Spunk Shad, Chunky D, and maybe a few more hard baits like a few more colors of OG 4's, Shadow Raps, and maybe some spybaits.
