After watching AJ's video I decided to try some deeper jerkbaits this year. These I have had for years just never them.

Give them a shot! If you're looking for other options as well, I really like the Rapala Shadow Rap Deep.

@Munkin

Thanks for the support.

For me, true deep diving jerkbait fishing is a different deal vs throwing them in 10 ft or less.

Using them to solicit bites in water 20 ft plus is all about bottom contour & deep water cover as well as loooong casts.

Good Luck

The Daiwa TD lures posted are selling over $50 each in box!

You might want to consider selling them and buying several of the deep divers recommended by BR members.

What rod are you throwing these on? In the video it looks like an AvidX spinning.

It's actually a older Fenwick Elite Tech Smallmouth stick.

7'4" Med.  The extra length is helpful for longer casts,

especially when I'm looking to cover a bigger area to find a bite.

So that's the when I use this one the most.

When my target area is smaller I use a few different 7' M sticks that are all pretty similar.

Finally something to note is, long bomb casting &  working a deep running jerkbait with a rod longer than 7' can be a bit of a chore.

Depending on how I work it, the rod tip might be hitting the water.

But The Pro-V Bass has a 25 inch transom which means I'm at least an extra 5 inches higher up off the water at the bow.

In this case - that matters.

Where? I looked on Ebay and could only find one in Japan. I also found a deep diving TD minnow NIP that's in the old black card packaging.

So I found one on Ebay after Tom mentioned them and it is only $68 but has free shipping. Not sure I can fish with them if they are valuable? Same reason I sold the translucent craw pre-rapala wigggle warts I had. Don't want to break off a $50+ collectable lure in some random stump.

Haven't tried yet, most of my fishing the last two years has been shallow river.
