Neutral Buoyancy Finesse Worms for Drop Shot ?

In your experience what are your current favorites as far as a neutral buoyancy drop shot worm is concerned that will sit more horizontally level while working it on a drop shot ? The Z-Man and Strike King elaztec finesse worms look good on paper but will tend to float up from the tail (desired on a shakey head - not so much for drop shot) . the standard thin Roboworms may still be the gold standard , while the Reaction Innovations Flirt Worm may be a good candidate ... I'm not sure what makes for a neutral buoyancy finesse drop shot worm (other than less salt)  - your thoughts and experiences ?

I'm not sure if they're exactly neutrally buoyant, but the Zoom Z Drop and Finesse worms are my dropshot worms of choice. I don't think the Z Drop has much, if any salt, so it should be close to neutral.

Neutral meaning you drop in water and it doesn’t sink or float.

most hand poured worms tend to be neutral buoyancy or float but not float up like a cork.

I use these 4 brands;

All fit into the neutral buoyancy category.

Most all of what I rig on a dropshot stays vertical because I Texas rig everything on a #1 gamakatsu EWG hook.  Yamamoto Ned Senko, Shad Shape Worm and Pro Senko are my go to baits.  The nature of the dropshot with the weight at the bottom of the tag line and the Texas rigged bait with the pressure from me pulling from the topside, keeps every bait vertical.

This got me thinking- if a pack of baits marinaded in BaitFuel, a water based scent, will it affect the buoyancy of said bait?

Edit: might be a stupid question- the bait is going in the water regardless and the water doesn’t affect the bait. But does BaitFuel have say penetrants to penetrate the plastic? Maybe if left long enough to marinade will be the only issue

*The West Coast guys doing hand pour worms for drop shot had it down to a science . Outside of the popular Roboworms - I'll just have to experiment . I believe gentle , short bounces of the rod when working a worm on a drop shot along with a simple rod griping / releasing rod grip pressure are enough to move a drop shot worm to entice a bass (versus the drop shot "seizure" school of working a drop shot worm) . It could be a Roboworm may be as good as it gets or I may find a simple Zoom Finesse worm has enough neutral buoyancy to do fine on a drop shot as well .

Don’t over look Jackall 4.8 Flick Shake worm wacky hooked with #1 Mosquito.

My favorite is watermelon candy, works everywhere and not expensive.

Almost forgot, for you nose hookers that want a bait that is neutral buoyant, the new larger Shad Shape Worm is made with the floating formula.

*I think either nose hooked (Aaron Martens way with hook point inside the nose) or Gilly Hooked (another Aaron Martens favorite drop shot rigging) would be impressive with this worm with the tail dipped in chartreuse or pink Spike It !

I think the Zoom Z-Drop is fairly neutral.  I have tested at the ramp and it floats horizontal.
