Got my mini max chatterbait today in green pumpkin 1/4 oz. Thinking about cuting up a strike king caffeine shad and put it on it. Don't have any hog farmers or Zakos just yet.

Haven't done that specifically, but it sounds like a perfect pairing to me.

The smaller caffeine shads will probably do ok but the 5" may be a bit big

A standard The Fluke works surprisingly well too. Those come in a good color or two for the gp minimax

Here is a good suggestion for a Minimax Trailer : Big Bite Baits Kamakaze Swimon (3.75") . The Green Pumpkin Chartreuse Swirl , Green Pumpkin , Black & Blue and the Green Pumpkin Flamethrower trailers in 3.75" all will work with a Green Pumpkin Mini-Max .  : https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Big_Bite_Baits_Kamikaze_Swimon/descpage-BBBKS.html

Big fan of the mini max, in a pinch cut a toad lengthwise and use that. The Super Fluke Jr or any other do nothing tail will work well.
