It's very sad, but I'm glad he was finally found, so his family and friends can find some closure, now.

Sad it took 79 days & his body traveled 158 miles before his family got closure.

Sad news, especially with a young family and child. Goes to show that even with a buddy system, conditions can go from good to bad to worst out in a kayak.

Very sad indeed. These stories always hit home with me. I lost 4 family members to a river accident some years back. It definitely gave us some relief and closure when they finally recovered all of the bodies. 

 

Be safe out there, people.

Sounds like he went out doing what he loved. Rest easy now.

 

I'm also glad they found him so the family could have closure.
