I kinda read some and just make my decision for me and my family. this is definitely filed under "you do you". just like our more recent health concern, the pandemic..we all came to our own conclusion anyways. IMHO, there is no way to handle our waste in our industrial world. in my college wastewater class, there was a phrase we were taught. "the best solution to pollution is dilution". we have been diluting waste into our water d**n near forever. I love fish, but I limit my consumption personally. I do realize we aint making more water, so the solution has to be getting richer with respect to pollution.

My fishing partner of over 40 years should have taken on the form of an outdoor thermometer from all the mercury induced fish he's eaten........ he's still eating them at 66 and has both eyes. 2 1

I've posted warning, but if I like bass, or whatever species I'd eat them. Close to 50 years ago a good friend of mine had a Great Uncle that was a hog farmer. He ate pork every meal. Bacon, ham, sausage, livermush, pork chops, shoulder, ect. He had a stroke and died. His Doctor said he had the stroke because he ate too much pork. HE WAS 93 YEARS OLD!!! Information is good, especially accurate information, but in the end we're all going to die. 4

My dentist asks the same question every year " are you still chewing tobacco ? " Yes Doc. " Your teeth are going to fall out " Maybe my teeth are stubborn. Idk 1

Idk Similar here Been smoking since 1970 (started young) Last full physical - EKG was normal...for a 45 year old (I'm 63) and my lung capacity is still around 98%, cholesterol hovers around 185 total, BP registered at 105/68, pulse was 73 My Doc just looked at me in disgust. Some people are genetically immune to bad effects of certain things...I seem to be one of them. 2

Almost the entire Huron river system in SE Michigan is under a do not eat fish PFAS warning. I think the only section that isn’t is the extreme upper reaches. I’m not exactly sure what the cause of the issue was. However, the entire region is devoted to the auto industry

Saw an article this morning about Coca Cola getting sued over OJ contaminated with this same stuff. It's everywhere, ya can't avoid it. No point worrying about it. Eat fish, drink OJ, be happy. MedCram on YouTube does a good breakdown on it including the chemical wack-a-mole aspect of it. I put effort into avoiding the stuff, but I admit. It is probably futile. 2

That’s what I always heard it was from. There was those massive fish kills in the 2000s that destroyed the fishery for about a decade. It’s back and it’s good now. Not to where it was but still good.

Those fish kills were large mouth bass virus. They finally traced that the whole way back to Bald Eagle State Park aka Sayers Dam. It hit there first and just went in waves the whole way down the river. Fish kills in the Juniata were chemical spills. Guys are catching prespawn 25-30lb bags in Sayers.
