Super User South FLA Posted January 25, 2011 Super User Posted January 25, 2011 Would love to see how that LCD screen would hold up in the UP position while going down the lake at 90 MPH, like only an Allison can. Innovation has always been Allison's trademark, all others are followers Quote

I would like to own one or a Bullet Coastal Series with a center console, but my little 185vs lead sled Ranger Intracoastal suits me fine. Also, I don't think I could drive 80 MPH or more on a consistent basis, 60 MPH is just fine with me. Quote
Super User cart7t Posted January 26, 2011 Super User Posted January 26, 2011 Nice idea but........... That boat will last a good 20 years. I doubt the LCD will and in fact, will probably be outdated in about 5 years. What happens when you want to replace the LCD unit and nothing fits like that original Hummingbird? Nice but way too brand and this point in time specific. Quote

Super User Wayne P. Posted January 26, 2011 Super User Posted January 26, 2011 Yes, the pedistal attaches to the unit mounting bracket. That unit in the picture (1197c SI )has already been outdated by the 1198c SI this year. They are the same size though. Quote
lynyrdsky1 Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Would Allison and Gambler be about the same level? Quote
Super User South FLA Posted January 27, 2011 Super User Posted January 27, 2011 Gambler are NICE also, I have only been in a Gambler once and it was an older model, they look as fast as an Allison standing still ;D. Not sure if one is better than the other, but Allison has a "race proven hull design", not sure about Gambler's hull. Quote
fishn hard Posted January 27, 2011 Author Posted January 27, 2011 Gambler is a fine boat its all in what you like speed wise no. ride no. looks yes I think Gambler is the hottest looking boat made Quote
