I see a lot more hook options for T-Rig drop shot over the last couple of years (i.e. Gamakatsu G Finesse Heavy Cover , VMC EWG or Niko , Owner Cover Shot , Roboworm Rebarb , standard EWG and Wide gap worm hooks in that #2 to perhaps 2/0 size range for 3.5" to 6" range of soft plastics . *I mainly would plan to T-Rig soft plastic worms on a drop shot to begin - then expand from there with T-Rig soft plastic craws , creature baits , shads , flukes , etc. The above said = what T-Rig hook and size for drop shot do you currently favor using ?

I know hook size may differ in size (depending on the manufacturer) but it appears after reading you could probably get by with the #1 and 1/0 size T-Rig Drop Shot Hooks to handle a range of soft plastics for the drop shot ? Small 3.5" sculpin, baitfish , leach style soft plastics might work best T-Rigged for drop shot on a #1 size Roboworm Rebarb Hook . For 4" to 6" finesse worms it might be best to migrate to the next size up with the 1/0 Roboworm Rebarb hook .

Thanks for the replies - I mostly envision worms used on a T-Rig Drop shot ... The Roboworm , Owner Cover Shot - and the forgotten Owner #5133 Down Shot hook are the ones I will look into soon . The Gamakatsu G-Finesse Arom Martens hook in a 1/0 may be a winner as well .

Roboworm Rebarbs are definitely a great hook, but I've been trying the Eagle Claw Lazer Sharp Round Bend Worm Hook out in 1/0 for Roboworm 6" Straight Tail Worms.  I don't have any complaints, but the bass are pretty mad at hooks solidly in the roof of their mouth.

this is my hook.  exclusively for this use.  tex rigged drop shot.  easier to find locally than the Covershot.  (for me)

I just picked some g finesse 1/0 hybrid worm hooks up. They seem like they’d be perfect for 4-5” worms if you like ewg, they run a little large. I plan on pitching a 4” trigged otter or smaller beaver with them.

I picked up the Owner Cover Shot in 2/0 (smallest the store had in stock) which should work for 6" Trick Worms (or equivelent) . Next , I picked up a G - Finesse Worm Light Hook w/ Tin Keeper (1/0) for 4.5" ~ 5" finesse worms  ... I like that the Owner Cover Shot & the G-Finesse Worm Light Hook have the keeper slightly lower on the shank than the Roboworm Rebarb hook - but any of these brands will do in a pinch for T-Rigging drop shot worms . For additional hook gap or for creature baits on a drop shot - the Gamakatsu Aaron Martins G-Finesse Heavy Cover Hook could prove interesting (although hook size runs a little large) , so would drop down to a 1/0 or even for a Z-Craw Jr. Baby D-Bomb) , etc.  style creature soft plastic . It will be fun to experiment with the different hooks and soft plastics for different drop shot set ups .
