Hey Ya'll,

I picked up one of these in rainbow trout color. I won't have a chance to try it out for a few day, due to SoCal weather...RAIN. I've seen some Youtube vids that seems to be a good swimbait. I like what the Armajoint has to offer in regards to other swimbaits.

So, if you happen to own the Armajoint, what are your thoughts?

Hey Ya'll

Brother, you have sinned as I once sinned. But it is okay, for I am here to set things right. Y’all is spelled y’all. Not ya’ll. I did it wrong for like a year on this site. I don’t know if I can ever make up for it.

Now, go forth and prosper

Much appreciate the spelling correction. Guess that's what I get for living close to a few po-dunk towns in Indiana, years ago.

Y'all live long and prosper

It’s no longer raining in SoCal and pre spawn.

Now is the time to go fishing with your wake bait in SoCal.

I finally have had a chance to use my Armajoint.

First of all, it floats and does not slowly sink. But once you start your retrieve it does dive, I'd say less than a foot. It does wake too. Keep your rod tip up and slow to medium retrieve. It's a versatile swimbait.

Also, it does fold when you cast the Armajoint. I noticed I got a bit more distance than my other swim and glide baits.

It's not too heavy and the rod I am using is a Dobyns Fury swimbait, rated 1-5oz. The hooks are very good stock hooks, I'm guessing Gamakatsu's. I have the rainbow trout color and the foil thing does shimmer when just sitting on top of the water. It has a very nice glide while swimming. You can do all your techniques with this lure. I haven't caught a bass yet. I've only used it a a couple days, a couple weeks ago.

But I have to say, Shimano did a great job with this swimbait. Got mine on sale and paid 20% less than retail price. I may get another Armajoint in a different color scheme.

It comes with a spare tail and instructions how to install the tail. I keep my Armajoint in the plastic container it came in, to keep the tail from getting bent by heat or being smushed next to my other swim and glide baits.

To follow up on this topic - just really got to fish this bait for an extended period tonight as it was the only bait I brought with me. In a lake that I’ve mainly been catching dinks at this year it brought in a few 3 lbers and a 4lber.

I was doing a medium cadence with a couple fast reel turns mixed in over submergent vegetation and around lily pads. A fun bait!

Absolutely amazing bait.

Hundreds of followers, about 50 fish caught, half a dozen fish at or over 5lbs.  Big fish was a few weeks ago at 7lbs even.

I started to burn and pause it, and the fish have come unglued on the thing.   Once that water got past 80, they wanted it burned.

It's just awesome.

I feel like it’s hard to beat for the price! Still trying to get my hands on the Spro Chad Shad - that looks like it could be a killer.

I've caught 1 ten inch spot on mine.   I've fished it in areas before and after catching Bass on other lures.   The Lake I fish mostly is highly pressured.  I suspect the lures size has a tendency to spook already wary bass.

Have you tried burning, and pausing that thing especially as of late?
