Popular Post Fishin Dad Posted January 10, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 10, 2023 I think it needs to repeated, this site has such great people and leadership! I had made a post about a product being sold out. Northern Basser read my post and offered to send me one of those exact items. He then proceeded to send me some pics to choose the one I liked and actually sent me TWO of them. Now I feel extremely guilty about this act, but it is here at Bass Resource that these types of things happen. As I have read about this many times before and now having it happen to me, it really restores faith that there are still great people in the world. Bass Resource seems to have plenty. This is a great place to find great people and leadership that keep this site so clean, positive, and friendly. So, thank you Northern Basser and Bass Resource community!! 35 1 Quote
PressuredFishing Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 It is a wonderful site! You will get the occasional rude person but yes, the staff work very hard to weed out the bad apples, and the community is very knowledgeable. 1 Quote

Susky River Rat Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 I try my best to share my lack of knowledge with everyone! I learn a whole heck of a lot more here, then I am sure anyone does from me and it’s appreciative. 2 4 Quote
Super User Catt Posted January 10, 2023 Super User Posted January 10, 2023 plural noun: attributes a quality or feature regarded as a characteristic or inherent part of someone or something. One of the attributes of Bassresource is Pay It Forward. Paying it forward isn't always material things. Yes we step on each other's toes, bump each other's elbows, & bruise each other's egos but at the end of the day we respected each other. 9 Quote

RB 77 Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Yeah, as far as fishing sites go, this one is the best one IMHO. 2 1 Quote
Fishin Dad Posted January 12, 2023 Author Posted January 12, 2023 This site is a great escape from the politics and doom and destruction in the world and allows us to just focus on fishing and the type of people fisherman are. Great, sharing, giving, friendly people who care. I find this at tournaments as well. Most of the people in the fishing community are just friendly, kind, helpful, talkative folks. Thanks for being “ Those People”!!! 11 Quote
Dangerfield Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 I love this place - it's a brotherhood in my opinion, there's a wealth of knowledge that gets shared over many demographics and generations. I wouldn't know what to buy and not if it wasn't for this site. Hell I'd probably be a lot richer if I never met most of you. 1 6 Quote

The staff must have weeded them out because, honestly, in the time I have enjoyed this site, I have not noticed the slightest hint of rudeness from anyone! Yea, sometimes we poke fun at each other, but we all know it's for laughs. I really like to effort by everyone to teach their fellow anglers to succeed. I'm still a novice at this but my confidence and knowledge have grown to the point that when I get in my boat, I KNOW I'm going to catch them! 1 Quote
volzfan59 Posted January 20, 2023 Posted January 20, 2023 I love this place too. Glenn and the moderator's do a terrific job and the membership is second to none. I used to get a chuckle out of the term "internet friend", not so much anymore. 4 Quote
Super User geo g Posted February 1, 2023 Super User Posted February 1, 2023 I could not agree more. There are some wonderful fisherman always willing to give great advice, and always helping fellow members figure them out. Great job by the leadership and mods, keeping the distractions of the day off the site. Glen has created a site well ahead of the others, and thanks for all that contribute on a dailey basis! 1 1 Quote

Super User GreenPig Posted February 1, 2023 Super User Posted February 1, 2023 Great forum. Full of good knowledgeable people that share a passion for chasing bass. My only complaint is Glen just let's the Bait Monkeys run loose.? 1 4 Quote
Super User BrianMDTX Posted February 2, 2023 Super User Posted February 2, 2023 I’ve said this before, but it beats repeating. For decades I frequented hunting forums as I was ate up with deer hunting. And especially bowhunting. And while hunters love to talk about gear, they are loathe to ever discuss where they hunt lest someone kill their deer. And arguments and insults were plentiful. This forum is so different. And I believe the mods are the key. Things get shut down quick if it tends to go too far. Want to kill a forum quickly? Have no mods. Glenn and the mods here do a superb job. Kudos to all of you! 8 1 Quote
Super User Swamp Girl Posted February 3, 2023 Super User Posted February 3, 2023 Speaking further about what's wonderful about this place, the thing that continues to drop my jaw is the amount of info warehoused here. It's like the warehouse at the end of Indiana Jones. It's the National Bass Archives. And unlike the warehouse in Indiana Jones, it's not boxes on boxes with no one having any notion of what's inside them. Everything is cataloged and cross-referenced, grouped and ordered. And it's easy-peasy to navigate, thanks to the Bass Resource Group Overall Director, who must have spent half of forever designing this site, based upon its breadth and depth. I also appreciate how welcoming all of you have been. I'm an (old) Babe in Boyland and came here after a 50-year hiatus from catching largemouth. When I first started reading the threads, I didn't know even know that FFS and Spotlock and chatterbaits existed. I still know less than half of the lures you guys reference, but you're always willing to cast light on my many shadows. 3 1 Quote
Woody B Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 I am a member and have been a member of various online forums. The people here are nicer than any forum I've participated it. Many times "nice" gets lost on the internet. Most people are nice if they're talking to someone face to face. Many tend to not be so nice when it's electronic. I haven't seen that here. Kudos to the forum leadership, and members here. 1 Quote
treble hook Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 I like it here. I'd rather talk with the people on here, than the best people anywhere... Quote
