Tried a spool of Sufix 832 late this year, my 1st 8 carrier. Really like the line but man, does it fade fast. I’m going to try some Hi Vis this spring, being as how the purpose is to better see the line, the quick fade would seem to be a detriment. Does anyone know of good 8 carrier that fades less and comes in a Hi Vis color?

X9 crystal is white.  It doesnt fade, but if you fish muddy water it stains.  There are no fade PEs on the market, but I have no experience with them.

When I put braid on FW bass gear I hardly ever use more then 70 yards on top of backing.  The first 25 yards sees the most wear.  After it starts to fray and get ropey,  I pull the braid off and flip it, that way I use just about every yard.  Even if its just for an hr or 2 I get out nearly every day and it I can generally get at least a year out of that 70 yards.

Thanks, I put some X9 in the TW cart, they carry what they call Flame Green, I’ll try that.

I have a small spool of their Yellow on order, at $30 for 150 yds. I want to try one of the cheaper, if you can call it that, non non fade lines too and compare them later this year. (Almost wrote “next year”) Happy New Year…

They all fade.  Also don't use line conditioner on them.  That makes the color run faster.

My thoughts as well.  They all fade and 832 is one of the worst. It also frays faster than most but it does do a good job upto that point.

My suggestion, if it's not too late..... Sunline Xplasma.  It's thinner, holds up better, and doesn't fade as fast.

My 20-lb 832 is white, so there's nothing to fade.

My other reels have Varivas, YGK and Duel.  Out of those, the Duel X-wire fades the fastest, but this spool has fished almost 3 years, so I don't care whether it fades - I get the results I want.

I agree with reversing the braid but even after that, I use Spike-it markers in black and blend blue and chartreuse to make green. Makes my own camo line. Plus now you have some scent as well.
